Hey everyone,
I am still pushing through the fog, but the routine of showing up matters more than the fatigue. I'm trying to maintain that momentum.
Since last post I did like this focused on the women dominating the stage, I wanted to follow that thread into the heavier, more experimental side of my current rotation. These tracks represent the technical precision and raw intensity that keep my brain engaged when everything else feels sluggish.
My playlist has shifted toward a more atmospheric yet crushing sound lately. I am selecting three tracks that define the current "modern" era of metalcore, where the production is thick and the genre lines are intentionally blurred.
This band is a masterclass in evolution. Their latest work leans into a heavy, grunge-inspired wall of sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. It serves as a reminder that staying stagnant is never the goal.
Bring Me The Horizon - liMOusIne (feat. AURORA)

I have been following Poppy's transition into the industrial and metalcore space for a while. She brings a glitchy, aggressive intensity that mirrors the energy I love in Spiritbox. This track is punchy and unapologetic, cutting straight through the noise.

If Courtney LaPlante is a generational talent, the interplay in Make Them Suffer is the blueprint for where the scene is headed. The balance between heavy riffs and melodic keys creates that "ethereal but crushing" tune I can't get enough of right now.
Plus, I just love the PEW PEW PEW noises. 😅

Establishing this routine is helping me navigate the world while I wait for my jello-brain to subside. I thought sharing these tunes would be a small way to stay connected and keep the gears turning.
As always,
