What career path for the future ?

What career path for the future .jpg

We are in a very disruptive economical environment with AI looming behind us and it's difficult to predict how tomorrow will look like. What counsel would you give to kid for his professional future ?

What advice would you give today to a 16-year-old regarding which career path they should choose?

Study molecular biology with an emphasis on genetic engineering/ peptide engineering. Then get a law degree and specialize in patent law working with biotech firms trying to get their new peptides and genetic treatments patented.

After 10 years of study you start earning your first cash lol

But in the end very big cash as you will be in high demand!

frankly speaking, I believe how 16 years kid right now think a lot more different than when we were 16 years old kid. In future, the 16 years kid will think differently than the current 16 years old kid.

I have no idea what to tell them later, because I believe their path will be a lot different than my path so my advice would not be effective on them

It's quite true that we have our own filters and life experiences so that our advice might not really be what they need...

If you've waited until they are 16 you're at least 3 years too late. When I was 10 I was helping my dad do accounts for local businesses. When my daughter and my nephew were 13, I was teaching them how to build computers and how to use them for personal growth. My nephew is head of the maths department at the best school in the area and my daughter gets headhunted for global financial leadership positions.

AI is just a new development in a chain that started when we somehow realised we are not amoeba.

It's true that starting to get glimpses into the professional life at an early age can be a big advantage later on...

My nephew wants to pursue IT university career for code gaming, i just told him that he can start right now without a degree university...just watch tutorials and learn coding , using AI to help to speed up... nowadays not sure how worth is to go to an IT university to get a degree..

That's a good point. I think that we will still need people who understands things to build stuff with vibe coding but I don't know how the market will evolve but I think experience will matter a lot as well.

hmmm, i would say, take the path that you are interested and will njoy working.
Ya, that's sounds very simple, but hard to do.
There will be challenges, nothing is straight forward.

Work smart, i would say.

imfarhad, you mined 0.9 ๐ŸŸง HBIT and the user you replied to (liotes) received 0.1 HBIT on your behalf as a tip. When you mine HBIT, you're also playing the Wusang: Isle of Blaq game. ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ

Sorry, but you didn't find a bonus treasure token today. Try again tomorrow...they're out there! Your random number was 0.5175278973863007, also viewable in the Discord server, #hbit-wusang-log channel. | tools | wallet | discord | community | daily <><

Check for bonus treasure tokens by entering your username at a block explorer A, explorer B, or take a look at your wallet.
There is a treasure chest of bitcoin sats hidden in Wusang: Isle of Blaq. Happy treasure hunting! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Read about Hivebits (HBIT) or read the story of Wusang: Isle of Blaq.

Yes it sounds easy but if you tell that to a 16 year old, he will probably tell you that he enjoys e-sports :-)

I would tell to continue focusing on your studies, even with AI and everything else; studying is what can help us in the future. Studying, specializing in something, taking courses, seeking knowledge in various areas.

In a nutshell learn as much as possible...

0.00000000 BEE

follow your heart , make sure that you love what you do .

That's a good advice I believe.

I would say, do whatever makes him tick. Because at the end of the day, one feels better when doing things that are aligned with what drives them.

0.00021887 BEE

That's very true. If you do something that you don't like, it's difficult to keep motivated for a long time.

0.00000000 BEE

This is a hard question because I don't know if I am able to pretend to be 16 years old and feel their drive and passion. Because I, sadly, believe there is none.

Youngsters these days believe they will all get rich over night just by doom scrolling :(

Advice about AI - use it ethically, and learn how to live without it too. And find the ways how to function in parallel without being noticed, and controlled by AI. If possible. If it isn't then we are all doomed.

Because I, sadly, believe there is none.

I kind of agree with you. If I had to define this generation I would say that they are locked in conumer moder from morning to night...

Many people speculate that AI will replace many jobs. My advice to younger people is to pursue what they enjoy and, if possible, consider hands-on careers such as electrical work, refrigeration, or construction. These kinds of jobs require practical skills and real-world problem-solving, making them much harder for AI to replace.

0.00021851 BEE

consider hands-on careers such as electrical work, refrigeration, or construction

I agree with you that it will take much more time to substitute these jobs...

I would tell him to follow his instinct and dedicate himself to something he really likes and is passionate about.
!PIMP

0.00021846 BEE

That's the best possible road. The challenge is to find exactly that job...

0.00000000 BEE

Itโ€™s not easy, youโ€™re right, but if you have a passion for it is easier to get.

0.00000000 BEE

With how fast things are moving in technology, I would say to get use to using things like AI. Don't overly on AI, but use it to make your work better. I feel that AI might play a key part in the future, but honestly, I don't think the job market looks that great.

0.00021815 BEE

I don't think the job market looks that great

I agree with you and AI is actually inflencing the job market on many levels and not only on the levels that we might expect...

I tell my daughter to do what she likes. Fortunately, she excels in that (comparatively speaking). But if she doesn't, well let's just say, I think her generation will be the richest one in the entire history of the human race. So she'll be pretty well taken care of anyway! ๐Ÿ˜œ !PIZZA !LOL !LUV

0.00021774 BEE

I think her generation will be the richest one in the entire history of the human race

That's an interesting perspective. I hope you are right :-)

0.00000000 BEE

I think one should find his own passion and excel at what he likes to do. If I had to choose, I would say finance/banking because there will always be demand for the service when it comes to money.

0.00021742 BEE

Money has been around since it was invented. The one technology that was never substituted :-)

0.02429920 BEE

Just follow your dreams. :)

Sound advice :-)

Career? Hmm, rocket scientist? :) Hard to think in terms of careers for the future where humans would be directly involved other than in smaller numbers... A good idea is to understand the new tools, use them, but also remain social and thrive in smaller local communities.

remain social

That's an important point...
