In the last weeks, the peakd team has created and developed a new short messaging system called Snaps that is comparable to waves of Ecency or Threads of Inleo. We believe that such short message platforms are quite interesting and we would like to use them more with the Liotes project.
That's why, today we would like to brainstorm with you how these platforms could be used by the project:
How could we use Snap (or waves, or threads) for Liotes?
There are no bad ideas. You can suggest any type of activity (game, contest, challenge, mission, interaction, brainstorming, discussion, etc...). Give as much detail as possible about your ideas.
Please write as usual your answer as a comment below this post.
By taking part in the Liotes missions, you can win credits that will help you to increase your score and your title in the Liotes Ranking.
People who submit an answer will get 3 credits for the Liotes ranking. If you submit more than 1 answer, you will not get more credits.
We are very grateful if you enter the challenge within 24 hours after the post is published. We will try to count entries up to 36 hours after publication.
A project run by @ph1102 and @achim03
Snaps are great, I switched over from the others and don't regret it. Competitions are the way to go for engagement on your project.
I think competitions would be a nice way to go on such platforms.
I am a mobile user and prefer using Waves.
I think ecency made a breakthrough with a mobile app, when I am not at work I only use mobile and having an mobile apps is really something popular nowadays... we can "cheat" with peakd sharing the safari window with the main screen but it still is a bit different. I complained a lot about that, but I see that I am a minority usually!
Unfortunately I don't manage to make wave work for me. It seems I can't confirm the transactions with keychain.
I see you managed to post a Wave. Did you get it sorted or do I need to report issues on our side?

ah I almost miss this one, its a busy week... I want to answer it about using Liotes Sub-Mission, but it seems you already started it... But what I am talking is a bit different with what you tried... not about pool or comments. But it's more about engaging with certain topic or certain community.
for example, I am a foodie guy. let's start a sub mission about milkshake... Share your recent best milkshake photo and tell us why it is the best one or what you like about it. use #liotes and #liotes-mission in the snap body. Of course not all can have milkshake, right? some of us get diabetic or too old for that drink.
or maybe it's a mother day, shared your best moment with your mother or your wife as the mother of your kids. Not all of us have opportunity to make this one, some might have passed away and live alone...
or a week of gardening mission, "This is my Yard", just take a shot of your front or backyard the best way you can. and many more, and of course these topics can be sensitive and not all can participate due to their own condition. I think we can make more good posts on snaps thread and waves through these missions
These are some great ideas! Thanks for sharing!
I like all 3 of them, but right now I think Snaps is the fastest among them. It could be nice if a mobile version was made for Snaps and Threads (Inleo), because nowadays most users of internet comes from mobile. I liked the idea of making something like a Snap/Thread/Waves like a Discord Channel, small but quick mensagens. In this Liotes and other communities could create a "Snap Channel" to talk about just like we do in the comments but with a UI/UX of a Group.
That's an interesting idea, thanks!
You're welcome.
i use #liotes tag on inleo, when i am sharing news, events etc.
Same can be done in snaps too.
Alternatively, liotes account can post trivia, polls, simple tasks exploring liotes project on snaps.

We try to give regular upvotes to people using the #liotes tag on inleo. We have an account with some LEO power to do that. On snaps we would mainly have to upvote with hive power.
I believe Snaps (just like Threads) is an excellent tool for connection. Each project has its Discord channels where conversations happen, but that centralizes things among people with the same interests. I think on Snaps, interactions are important and help spread the word about other projects, build networks, and so on. So, I think just using Snaps daily can already have a positive impact and spark curiosity about Liotes. It's also interesting to create some mini-contests to promote engagement, maybe that's something currently missing over there.
It could be a on chain alternative for discord.
That's an interesting idea and I also like the idea of mini-contests. Thanks for sharing!
I believe it can generate engagement with polls, which can give 1 point or not for the ranking. You could generate a "question and answer" board and the best answer in your opinion would win a bigger vote in his snaps, HP delegation, L2 token something like that.
Information could be shared about the growth of the liotes project, strategies for the growth of people here, objectives, goals, that sort of thing.
Thanks a lot for all these ideas!
Maybe we can use it for an occasional mission or update, but I am not a user of that short-form feature, unfortunately.
The idea would bring the community there and interact together. It would be a nice way to spread some upvotes I believe :-)
Games or challenges are a good idea - they can be a bit more "live" than on Hive posts. Don't really have specific ideas, but it might be a good way to expand the community engagement within the realm of the Hive chain.
I also think that games or challenges could bring more dynamic discussions on such a platform.
These apps/features could be used to give updates about the project or post engaging messages, teasers, and even missions 😉
I don't know about the visibility of such messages but I think it would be worth a try :-)
A good way would be to inform about new developments or upcoming publications, and thus give them more exposure.
What you say is that we could use it to promote our posts and projects. I think it's a good idea.
So I see users doing polls there, maybe liotes can start doing some periodic polls ? It can be associated with the community or even with general crypto =)
I like the pools on snap they have quite a lot of interaction.
This is the short content sharing. You've already answered it yourself. Pictures, funny memes, pools, messages about long posts with a link, interesting posts from the internet, not only from Hive, and so on.
Outside links can be an interesting idea.
Of course first of all you can use to inform people that you published updates and new Liotees posts. Also you can do short preview for longread post . And maybe publish Liotees ranking updates leaderboard maybe first 10 or something like this.
That's a great idea. Thanks!
My first thought is to use it as a kind of help desk for onboarding and the wider Liotes community. Perhaps assign volunteers to time slots when they will monitor Snaps and respond quickly.

I like this idea. Thanks for sharing!
You could create special missions for the short content platforms, to attract their users too to Liotes. But that's more work for you guys.
The easy option would be to share this mission post over there on all of them. Maybe the stats post from Monday too. But not sure these are acceptable practices on each of them. On Threads you'd have to add the link to a reply, it doesn't work as a top level thread (or it didn't back when I was more active over there on Threads).
That's actually a good start :-)
To interact more with the community. Perhaps organize the monitoring of events and comment on them.
That's a good idea. Maybe even create a kind of "meta" posts. Where we talk about how much time remains, how many people submitted stuff, etc..
We could have some updates to the project there or some activities there..
Yes, that would be the idea. We just need to figure out what we want to share :-)
It could be used to make notices and also to publicise the project through small informative pills. I hardly use the short format, but it can work for others.
I think it would be nice to take some activity that takes place on discord and put it on such platforms.
It looks like something for quick conversations between many people. Announcements or warnings sound like they could fit in too.
I think that there isn't much visibility on these platforms yet. I'm not sure it would be the good place to put announcements or warnings there but thanks for the suggestion.
I think voting comments is underrated curation activity that can add value to the community. Get us to snap about liotes and vote your favorites with small %
I think that rewarding interaction is as important for the blockchain than quality content. I wouldn't mind to spend some of my voting power on nice interactions on such platforms.
Additionally, the voting power "spend" is "curation". The requirement for curation is to make the votes, so no curation is lost - its more like velocity of money - the same curation but some of the rewards are rewarding the community for actions.
"Comments" is one simple action, but comments with conditions (answer questions, fill out survey, share experience/screenshot), can "make the community" work for that value, and potentially bring even more value to the project/community.

I would assume any usage of Snaps or Waves will essentially mirror how the world uses Twitter.
The big difference being that on snaps or waves you can give financial incentives that brings a totally different dimension to it.
I don't use snaps, but I think it could be used to promote liotes when events or missions are going on. I think it's a good way to update users with just a small summary.
Thanks a lot for the suggestion!
Hmmm personally I haven't really used Snaps.. Still more a write and post person. Would be interesting to read what others say too.
I like to use these missions to put some ideas on the table. It can inspire others as well :-)
If we want quick discussions or something that is bite size, I think snap/waves will be a good option.
The question is what kind of discussions we could run there I think.
Sorry I misread. I think we can do discussion relating to crypto pricing trend and how hive price expected to respond

A game of questions and answers, cultural, local curiosities. A snap with the question and true/false answers. In the comments, users suggest topics from their local reality for the next publication.
example: In which Latin American country is it forbidden to consume alcoholic beverages in the streets and public parks?
Curious, cultural, regional fact, can generate a lot of interaction in the community!
tip: it's not my Brazil! lol
I like this idea :-)
