RE: How do you stay motivated?

Well, let's start with a short text. I think the word "unmotivated" might not be the best one to use, but rather "frustrated." Whoever has never stopped to think that sometimes they are not recognized should cast the first stone. I think that most people who continue posting weekly/trying to add content at some point in this journey have become frustrated with this. In addition, some discussions end up being a bit unfair in my opinion, for example, now the new trend is talking about KE and delegation.

But I think first of all that the essence of the hive is the community, so if you are penalized for delegating your decision-making power to a project, do you deserve to be "punished"? That is wrong in my opinion, because you and many other people are trying to create projects and connect people. You didn't just take your money or vote for friends. You let a community vote for many people and create a path of growth for many.

Second, another thing I think is wrong is to use the KE magic formula without taking into account the tokens that the person has, because they "didn't" take the money from the ecosystem, it is invested in the community.

These are things that make us think and get discouraged many times, but it's like that saying... we have to stay consistent and try to do our best, helping little by little, posting, commenting, acting in a way that seeks to grow little by little.

Great question this week.

Such things can be frustrating and I think that it's important to know that such initiatives always appeared on hive. What is important to know is that not everybody sees things the same way. I don't want to support abusive behaviour on hive but I don't think that some metrics can explain it all. There are some people who write with one account and have their hive power for curating on another. Such things can't be measured by KE and therefore I think that it gives an indication but it shouldn't be overwalued either...

I think it's very important where you say that we don't want abusive behavior in the hive, but that we should always try to find a balance and not a witch hunt.

I understand the point of KE and the point about delegations... On a personal level, "I fit the narrative" (my KE is solid, and I don't delegate most of my HP), but I don't agree with the witchhunt that is happening because of those things...
It's just missing the point of valuable content and some other problems that are still unsolved... like monetizing content...

I would like to see more people doing manual curation with all their HP and growing it... Growing their accounts and helping others, but there shouldn't be a hammer over the head if you want to take some of the profits of your work and contribution...

I totally agree with you, a lot is being lost and it may even lead to the loss of more content creators in Hive. One thing I always emphasize is that there is no point in looking for new users if we lose the users who post regularly.

In addition, for example, I currently have $76 in LENM, because I love being present in the Liotes project, which is a lively community in Hive, which also has the appreciation of second-layer tokens. Why shouldn't this be included in the KE calculation? Today, at the current price, this already means that I have 304 HIVE in tokens, in addition to assets in other games in the hive...

Regarding delegation, it's cool to do manual curation. There are texts that are really excellent, but sometimes people don't have time to access the hive and read several texts. I think that at least one text will take you about 10 minutes to really reflect on it. In addition to the texts, people have other things to do in the hive. There are often not enough hours to do everything, since people still have their personal and professional lives.
