I paint at Chatham Dockyard in Kent, UK every Monday. It's a 2.5 hour journey from my house in London. Two buses, a train and a twenty minute walk. It's Billy Childish's studio but he's been kindly letting me paint there since 2013. I've been keeping a video diary and blog of my work at Chatham since 2022. I've made hundreds of paintings on cardboard, and collaborated with Billy on around two hundred more, not on cardboard, under the name Heckel's Horse.
Last Monday I came up with a logo for Free Art Frees Art and started some paintings using it for my Camden Text series. These will hopefully be dry and ready for The Camden Market Free Art Man in a couple of weeks. London is forecast to rain this week, so I should have enough time to get them finished and photographed in time.
