How did we start the Year ?
At the beginning of each month, I try to get an idea of how I'm evolving on Hive. I've set some goals that I want to achieve until the end of 2025 and I try to keep track of it to see whether I'm doing enough to reach them.
At the end of 2024, I wrote a post in which I listed my goals for 2025. By the end of 2025, I want to reach 80'000 Hive Power and 16'000 HBD. So far 33 days have past since I've set my goals, or 9.02% of the year. This means that I should have collected 9.02% of the tokens to reach my goals. I look at it like my benchmark. If I'm above the benchmark, I'm doing well. If I'm below, I'm not on track to reach my goals.

For 2025, I consciously set lower goals that in the past. What I can say for the first month is that I'm doing well enough for HP where I'm above benchmark. But I'm quite far from the benchmark for HBD.
January activity
I created 7 posts during the month or January which is close to what I want to do. It would be great if I managed to write at least 8 posts per month but 7 is not that far from that. These 7 posts and the organic growth were more or less responsible for my HP growth. I would also have enough HBD if I had simply taken the interests on my savings and put everything back there. That's not what I did. I used my HBD and swapped some tokens for other currencies like Solana and Sui. I started to experiment on these chains with strategies using concentrated liquidity pools. I will need to transfer some more money there to increase my positions. In the long term, I hope that I will be able to bring my profits from these chains back to hive.
Powering up some Hive
Since today is also Hive Power Up day, I powered up 100 Hive. There was a time when I used to power up 1000 Hive per month but most of my income sources have dried out a bit and I've to content myself with 100 this month. I hope to develop new income streams on other chains so that I can increase the size of my future power ups...

You're making good progress as always. As for me, I believe just continuing the path I set for myself (1 post a day powered up) should suffice again for 2025.
It's a good growth. I like that you are experimenting with other chains. Let us know how it goes with Solana.
I don't think you'll have problems with your Hive goals this year...

Good to hear that you are on track with your HIVE goal and I'm not worried about the HBD part as you will catch up on that easily!
Speaking of a strategy of bringing funds from outside to HIVE, I'm thinking the same for my HBD goal... I will probably take some profits from other chains and bring it over to HIVE... ;)

Happy HPUD and nice powerup. I think that your HP goal is going fine, and HBD can be rough. It's hard unless you are making more posts because you would have to convert Hive into HBD otherwise.
