In this post series, I will create a quality video with AI and I will show you step by step how I proceed. Make sure to read the first post in this series so that you know what I plan to do and what tools I will be using.
In this phase, I want to focus on the story of the video. For my job, I often had to create videos and in order to get something of quality, there needs to be a building plan. Whenever I tried to do something spontaneously, the result was never good. I'm not a professional video producer and there are probably more professional ways to plan a video. I got used to create a storyboard. For me it contains the content of the video (the story) and then I try to split this story into different scenes. With every video that I have created, I felt that I became a bit better at it. With additional experience, you start to think about camera positions, angles, sound, etc.
I don't want to make this process too complicated to follow. We are not professionals but all the same we want to create something nice.
There is a general tendency where content creation is automated completely with AI. There are even platforms that will write the script of your videos, build the scenes and do everything on autopilot. Sometimes the resulting videos are quite good but in my opinion there is fundamental difference between delegating content creation to AI or using AI as a tool to help you in the process. If AI writes your script and does everything until the finished product then such a series would make much sense... I like to use AI as a tool to do things that I couldn't do in the past like create images from a far away planet, animate them and tell an original story...
When you look at the previous posts that were relating life on Liotes, it was a person on Liotes that was explaining how things were evolving on the planet. I will try to keep the same framework for the story. We will let Tania Lemaire, the expedition leader on the surface of Liotes give us an update about the settlement.
In the first scene, we will have a view of the planet Liotes from space.
For the viewer this will set the place where the video is recorded. It will be a short scene with some background music.
In the second scene we will have Tania Lemaire talking to the camera. She will explain the situation on the planet and how things are evolving.
While Tania is still talking we will take a shot of the settlement to illustrate what she is telling.
Tania is still talking and while she talks about the life in the Domes, we will give a shot of the inside of a Dome.
We will go back to Tania for a short time.
Tania talks about the Ark 62, the space ship that brought the people to Liotes and we will show the Space ship in this scene
This will be the scene where Tania finishes her report
We will add a kind of outro to the video.
On purpose, I haven't added more details to this storyboard. I don't want to make things too complicated to follow. A professional storyboard would include all the details like camera position, camera angle, position of the actors, sound effects, duration, the lines... I like to have a plan but I also like to do some things in an improvised manner. Otherwise, I tend not to enjoy the process that much.
Ok, now that we have our story, we will start the real work. In the next post, we will directly work on the first scene together.

This technology has made people's lives a lot easier and you have mentioned a lot of specific things that will be helpful for people who want to get started.
As you say it's a technology that cna make things much easier and things become possible that weren't possible some years back, especially when it comes to video creation.
Yeah you are right.
Logical first steps — starting with the storyboard. 👍
Before starting to animate and create, knowing what we want to do can really help 😂
It sounds like an interesting way to structure things. I would also go through each of the results of each part because AI has not been the most accurate. There might be slight changes needed until you get something you like.
AI can do great stuff but as you say, you need to check it and clean what you get so that the result is close to what you want.
Hello!
It's interesting when you feel satisfied with a job that brings you pleasure.
Thanks for sharing for those who have the opportunity to work in these areas!
