A night in Montreal, Canada

A beautiful evening in Old Montreal

Rue Saint-Paul
The oldest Street in Canada

Rue Saint-Paul (Saint Paul Street) is Montreal's oldest street, laid out in 1672 along a path that bordered the city's earliest fort. Located in Old Montreal, this iconic cobblestone street is home to historic landmarks like the Bonsecours Market and the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel.

Origins: It was officially paved in 1672 and named after Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve, the founder of Montreal.

Lined with 19th-century stone buildings, it blends historic European charm with modern art galleries, cafes, and boutiques.

Pedestrian Access: Between April and October, parts of Rue Saint-Paul (from Boulevard Saint-Laurent to Rue du Marché-Bonsecours) are converted into a pedestrian-only zone.
