Interesting topic.. as far as I'm concerned I'm not one who is against automatic votes, but I, as a small user, prefer to read and upvote posts depending on their quality. Giving a good void to a post that I haven't read and that could be of poor quality doesn't please me. However, I understand that by doing so I don't encourage those who need to grow. As for voting on my own posts, I never do it.

I'm a manual curator 80% of the time, just like you. However a lot of bigger accounts with huge stakes set up auto votes and completely vanish from the Blockchain. This is the main reason for this post. These type of auto-setters are the ones that are responsible for the abuse of autos.
