I've been in that position too many times in the last three years. Feelings you can't put into words just yet. A hug, and, "Can I call you later?" or "IF you need to talk, you have my number," would sometimes do. Grief needs time to bring about perspective but the last thing a mourner needs is to grieve alone. 😓
