Hello @marsdave,
Stories, even nonfiction stories, have a beginning, a middle, and an end. There is an arc, where the action builds to a moment of crisis and then moves forward again to a resolution of that crisis. If you look at your story today, there is no arc, although you have several anecdotes within the piece. In the future, try to remember the dynamic of a story. It is not a discussion, or an exposition about a view of life. It has a plot line, a narrative that pulls us in, offers a problem and resolves that problem.
This piece features good writing, but it would have been much stronger if it had offered a discernible arc.
I'm grateful for the detailed feedback.
Thanks a lot for your guidance. I very well understand and appreciate it. Moving forward, I would make sure to structure anecdotes within a narrative to include conflict and resolution.
Thanks a lot @theinkwell.
