Well, arguably availability of more remote jobs might increase the value of normal jobs in terms of pay, which is one way to look at it. But I believe, the reason why most employers pay Normal employees stipends is because there is no strong labour union in our country. Employers can do as they want since there is no one to punish them for their actions.
