Hello everyone and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, it's a Thursday today so a perfect time to make another season report just prior to the actual season ending, Thursday is my regular day off of work so I have extra time to do things like this.

With the launch of the new core set Conclave Arcana last Tuesday, it's a strange time for me, well for everyone of course with all the changes going on, but because the rotation from Chaos Legion out of Modern League happened mid season and because I was somewhere in the 40's on the Diamond Leaderboard I just stopped playing and started to re-delegating my cards across my accounts, leaving my highest level account dead in the water for the last days of the season.

So, where I try to grind away as much energy as I can, both of my accounts are now at 50/50 with a lot less battles played. I also felt the strength of the liquidity bots was still too high after the changes the team made, many liquidity bots have a complete max set of rewards cards, while most normal players don't so it's really not fair to be honest and I had multiple occasions where my win streak was stopped by meeting a liquidity bot. 😕

Well, as you can see I at least won my last battle in the old Modern League, with Chaos Legion in it so it was a good end of this era. 😊

On my previous season report I earned 240k Glint, this season I at 'only' 185k in total when I combine the total balance and the end of season loot.

I played a total of 270 battles this season vs. 347 battles last season, both win rates at 49.6% so that's a very consistent win rate!
A big difference on the leaderboard for some reason though: last season I ended at 3560 rating at position 319 on the leader board, this season I stopped playing at 3460 and because I didn't play for the last two days, I dropped down from in the 40's to position 60, which would still reward me with 50k glint, another cool end as a goodbye to high level play, because next season I will be playing with Silver level cards again.

I also started to track how much SPS I have per account so I can see how much I earn.

I went from 28,570 to 29789 which comes down to a total of 1219 SPS I earned this season vs. 1220 SPS I earned last season, crazy consistency!

At today's SPS price I earned $14.38 for playing this account this season! 🤑

With my Gold account I played more battles, I'm not sure why though I didn't realize I did, it's why I make these posts so I can see what the numbers do every season.

Last season I played 293 battles vs. 324 this season, I didn't do as well though with a win rate of 48.8% vs. 49.6 last season, at gold level I got beaten a lot by max level decks and liquidity bots.

Glint total was 126k last season, vs. 124k this season. although I played more battles vs. last season, I've had to wait two days before my additional 50k SPS rental got filled so every win, I was earning less glint compared to last season for those days.

It would be better if I didn't have to rent anymore, and just buy the SPS but with all changes happening now I will first evaluate where I stand now, @nozem will now be playing in Silver - I think it could maybe push to Gold 2 at the end of season, so I reserved 36k SPS for this account, as you can see in Gold 2 I would need 36.526 SPS to get the 10x multiplier so that should be sufficient, and this account will also still be earning in brawls and battles for itself, probably the earned SPS for every season will drop significantly because of my downgrade from Diamond to Silver.

My bag of SPS went from 102,418 to 103.670 now which is an increase of 1252 SPS vs. 1084 SPS last season from ranked play and brawls, nothing else! Which is another $14.77 earned at current SPS price! 🤑

Spending Glint

My glint spending strategy hasn't changed, for @nozem01, this account will play Wild League by XBOT after the rotation with my max Archons, I'm at level 7 and 8 commons, level 6 rares, level 3 and 4 epics and only at level 1 legendary cards except for my Gold Foil Legendary Chaos Battle Mage so there's still a lot I need to get it to max level, so again, I'm buying a bit of everything with the earned glint.

I was planning to let Archmage run this account after the rotation but because it kept surrendering in Survival Mode (I have a LOT of level 1 cards, so not the best teams but it should be able to at least play and not surrender) so I bought an XBOT token to test it out and it's a lot more advanced and even let me auto harvest my land plots when I forget to do this manually, it's awesome!
XBOT also takes a lot less SPS, 20% compared to 35% for Archmage.

For @nozem, the account I will manually play in modern after the rotation, I have all commons, rares and epics at max Silver level, where I plan on playing at. So I'm still working on the legendary cards to get to level 2, which is a pretty slow going thing, every legendary draw costing 35k glint so I can 'only' get 6 or 7 every season and then still have to get lucky to pull the right ones.

So far, most of them are at 2 CC at the moment, so close the leveling up to level 2. I was able to get the Death Ranger to level 2 with last season's draws, which is pretty nice, giving it close range, it's a great card for little league in the new modern league!
I also have a surplus of some legendary cards, which I can use for Survival I guess, not much purpose for them in different ways.

With the current season ending in 8 hours, it means I will finally can start playing with my Rebellion cards (and some CA cards as well because I bought and opened 10 packs).
I'm very excited for this since I used my Rebellion cards on an alt account without strong reward cards, this time I will have close to a max set.
With all the new abilities and synergies Conclave Arcana brings, it will be a cool time, where everyone need to invent playing the new Modern League again. I will mostly be fighting the CA cards and will be depending on my Rebellion deck and I will start buying cards I need from the secondary marketplace to expand my deck.
