Analysing Splinterlands Cards – Warrior of Peace

Hi all,

Introduction

Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊

This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of gameplay, strategy, comparison with other cards, and a market analysis of its price. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Warrior of Peace.

Gameplay Analysis

Warrior of Peace is a Rare Life Monster from the Untamed Reward set in Splinterlands. It is a high-health, non-attacking support unit that focuses on debuffing enemy teams rather than dealing damage. With Demoralize, Headwinds, and Silence, it effectively weakens melee, ranged, and magic attackers, making it a strong defensive pick.

Mana Cost: 6
Attack Type: None (No Attack)
Abilities by Level
Level 1: Demoralize (Reduces all enemy melee attack damage by 1, weakening melee-based teams)
Level 6: Headwinds (Reduces all enemy ranged attack damage by 1, countering ranged-heavy teams)
Level 10: Silence (Reduces all enemy magic attack damage by 1, limiting magic-based threats)

Level-Based Insights

Level 1: Demoralize makes it an immediate anti-melee counter, reducing enemy frontline pressure.
Level 6: Headwinds provides additional value against ranged-heavy opponents, making Warrior of Peace a dual-threat debuffer.
Level 10: Silence rounds out its debuffs, allowing it to weaken all three attack types (Melee, Ranged, and Magic), making it one of the most effective defensive units in the game.

Comparative Analysis

How does this card compare to other similar ones?

Vs. Shieldbearer (Life - 8 Mana): Shieldbearer is a high-health Taunt tank, while Warrior of Peace focuses on weakening enemy offense rather than absorbing direct hits.
Vs. Venari Crystalsmith (Life - 4 Mana): Venari Crystalsmith offers Tank Heal and Ranged Attack, making it better for sustain, while Warrior of Peace focuses purely on debuffing.
Vs. Pelacor Conjurer (Life - 2 Mana): Pelacor Conjurer has Flying and Magic Reflect, making it better for anti-magic matchups, while Warrior of Peace is stronger as a general-purpose debuffer.

Key Takeaway
Warrior of Peace is a non-attacking, high-health support unit that provides Demoralize, Headwinds, and Silence, making it a universal debuffing tool against all attack types. It is best suited for defensive and control-based Life strategies.

Synergies

Lorna Shine (Life Summoner): Divine Shield allows Warrior of Peace to absorb more hits before taking damage.
Grandmaster Rathe (Life Summoner): Grants +1 Armor and Void Armor, making Warrior of Peace even tankier.
Shieldbearer (Life Tank): Taunts enemies while Warrior of Peace weakens their melee, ranged, and magic attacks.
Adelade Brightwing (Life Support): Provides Resurrect and Repair, helping Warrior of Peace stay alive longer.

Ruleset Performance

✅ Favorable Rulesets:
Weak Magic: Magic attacks hit armor first, allowing Warrior of Peace’s high health to be even more effective.
Back to Basics: Since no Monsters have abilities, its high base health becomes a big advantage.
Unprotected: Enemy Monsters lose armor, making their reduced melee/ranged/magic damage even more impactful.

❌ Challenging Rulesets:
Melee Mayhem: Melee Monsters can attack from anywhere, reducing the impact of Demoralize.
Keep Your Distance: Melee Monsters are not allowed, making Demoralize useless.
Noxious Fumes: Lacks Immunity or self-healing, making it vulnerable to Poison damage.

Market Analysis

Price Overview
Regular Foil: around $ 0.04
Gold Foil: around $ 1

Investment Potential
Warrior of Peace is a specialized debuff unit that is highly effective against all three attack types. While it lacks offensive capabilities, its ability to weaken enemy teams makes it valuable in control-based strategies.

Ratings

Usefulness: 9/10 (One of the best defensive debuffers, but lacks offensive presence)
Cost-Effectiveness: 8/10 (Affordable for its debuffing potential, but situational in some metas)
Versatility: 9/10 (Effective against all attack types, but weaker in niche rulesets like Keep Your Distance)

Conclusion

Warrior of Peace is a unique non-attacking Monster that specializes in weakening enemy melee, ranged, and magic units. If you need a high-health, defensive support card for control-based Life teams, Warrior of Peace is a must-have for your deck.
