What's up Splinterfams!
About this article, I want to share some of my compositions regarding the REVERSE SPEED Ruleset, some know that this rule is Favoring Monsters with less speed to be the first attackers.
Because of that, for some less skilled players is hard to put what Monsters they we're going to carry on to battle. So as a player who knows some of the Card compositions I will share this with you.
I have been using the following Monsters for almost 2 seasons of battling for Silver Leaderboards, and it works very well.
But to use them properly, first, you need to count the Mana that are available in your battle. For now, this battle is a 19 Mana cap available.
2nd, see what are the active elements available in the battle, and just try to think what Monsters element has the lower speed and think how your opponent may counter it. If it's hard for you to memorize the cards. Try to rent some low-level cards that work very well for lower speed.
Here are some of the cards I was using for Reverse Speed
On neutrals, I always use level 3 Parasitic Growth, depending on what elements are active in the battle. If Earth was active and your opponent is expected to use Mylor, you don't want to deal with using Melee Monsters.
Sandworm will be best on high mana Reverse Speed battles so just try to put it in the middle.
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
Sandworm | Halfling Alchemist | 1 | ||
Lord Arianthus | 2 | |||
Doctor Blight | 2 | |||
Spirit Hoarder | 2 | |||
Xenith Archer | Chain Golem | 2 | ||
Legionaire Alvar | 2 | |||
Parasitic Growth | Grenadier | Cornealus | 3 | |
Cyclops | 4 | |||
Disintegrator | 5 | |||
Rusty Android | 5 |
If you are using Yodin Zaku, these Monsters are best on Reverse Speed, just make sure to put them in their proper positions so that when your opponent using the same Summoner and Monsters you still have a higher advantage.
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ||||
Caladuum | 2 | |||
Grum Flamable | 2 | |||
Lord of Fire | 2 | |||
Goblin Fireballer | Molten Ash Golem | Lava Launcher | 3 | |
Pyromancer | 3 | |||
Tusk The Wide | 3 | |||
Living Lava | 4 | |||
Ettin Spearman | 5 | |||
Fire Beetle | 5 |
On the water, the Feasting Seaweed work the same with Parasitic Growth, they have the same opportunity and try to use these two Monsters on low mana Reverse Speed. Just like what I did here.
You can also use Sea Monster on Poison/Reverse Speed rule, don't forget to put Cleanse Monster on the backline.
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ||||
Frost Giant | 2 | |||
Feasting Seaweed | Lobstradamus | 3 | ||
Torhillo The Frozen | 3 | |||
Wave Brood | 3 | |||
Sea Monster | 4 | |||
Cruel Sethropod | 5 | |||
Crustacean King | 5 | |||
Snipeback Turtle | 5 |
If you are likely to make a counter using Reflection and Thorns always use Mylor with Mycelia and Failed Summoner, this will make you a juicy winning, but be careful of Strong Range Monsters. If it's Reverse you don't need to worry so much because many Range Monsters are high Speed
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ||||
Djinn Biljka | 2 | |||
Queen Mycelia | 2 | |||
Hunter Jarx | 3 | |||
Swamp Thing | 3 | |||
Earth Elemental | 4 | |||
Khmer Princess | 4 | |||
Field Summoner | 5 | |||
Goblin Psychic | 5 |
Cave Slug also works the same with Feasting Seaweed and Parasitic Growth, but this one is 5 Mana cap Monster and sometimes it's difficult to pick it in a low mana battle.
If you want to counter a strong Magic opponent, Clay Golem also works equally for anti-Magic and put a healer beside it.
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | ||||
Adelade Brightwing | 2 | |||
Jared Scar | 2 | |||
Uriel The Purifier | 2 | |||
Cave Slug | Prismologist | 3 | ||
Clay Golem | 4 | |||
Shieldbearer | 4 | |||
Stitch Leech | 5 |
Death is also a strong element for Reverse Speed especially if it's a high mana battle, the Harklaw, Ancient Lich, and Cthulu works well.
You can pick 2 levels of Dark Astronomer, the one without Shatter works with the Broken Armor/ Reverse Speed rule, and the one with Shatter has more Speed.
Common | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Level |
---|---|---|---|---|
Dark Astronomer | 1 | |||
Ancient Lich | 2 | |||
Cthulhu | 2 | |||
Djinn Muirat | 2 | |||
Harklaw | 2 | |||
The Gorlodon | 3 | |||
Animated Corpse | Bone Golem | 4 | ||
Dark Astronomer | 4 | |||
Crypt Beetle | 5 | |||
Haunted Spider | 5 | |||
Maggots | 5 |
For Dragon you can use some Legendary with lesser Speed with good stats, depending on your battle choice but for me, I don't use Dragon on Reverse Speed for some reason. I often use it if there's only a Dragon element active in the battle.
You can use the following Dragon monsters that are good on Reverse Speed
Let's take a quick look at the first round of my battle and see how my Monsters have done here, I use the Water element and some Neutrals for this battle.
You can see that I used two level 3 commons here and that is Feasting Seaweed and Parasitic Growth, I always preferred Lord Arianthus as a tanker to get rid of Magic attack monsters. I see that the best Monsters I can pick here to a position at the backline was Crustacean King as I need to make my Lord Arianthus stay longer in battle and sustain the damage while my Opportunity Monsters doing their job.
In this first round, the attack was done by my Feasting Seaweed and killed enemy Theorosa Nightshade quickly, I was very surprised here as I don't expect that my opponent Monsters in the middle died very quickly.
Following the attack by my Parasitic Growth and killed enemy Halfling Alchemist
The third attacker was my Crustacean King and dealt 1 Range to enemy Haunted Spider
Enemy Spirit Hoarder followed, but dealt no damage to my Lord Arianthus and only got reflected by its attack.
The attack was followed by its Haunted Spider and dealt only 1 Range damage to my Arianthus
Its Haunted Spirit healed and follow up the attack
But it missed
The last attacker by its side was Undead Archer but was also missed
