A Strange Weather Experience With Scientific Explanations
Yesterday I took some household rubbish outside to our local "Council provided" large plastic "Refuse Bin" ready for collection. However, a little later in the morning I noticed that although the rubbish had been collected correctly. There was a very strange pinky / red liquid on top of the lid, I looked around and noticed that other Household Bins also had this wet substance. I thought that it it might be some spilled "hydraulic brake" fluid from the Collection Vehicle, and thought no more about it.
As I walked to the local shop, I then noticed that the sky was an unusual pink / red color, very similar to the color of a normal Sunrise or Sunset would appear. However, this was almost mid-day and still raining a little with very dense cloud cover.
Later in the evening I was watching the daily "News Channel" on UK TV, when they started talking about the Scientific reasons for what we all had experienced. Apparently some "Sahara Desert Sand" had been carried across the English Channel from North Africa into the English Countryside. This explains the color and why today this liquid has dried into a sandy, gritty, dusty substance on the bins.
The two photos (below) were both taken a few days ago in more normal "late evening" weather conditions. Mother Nature certainly paints the sky red with colorful beauty that's for sure. Please enjoy the Sunset views...
