I continue to buy silver. I buy an ounce a week. Or once a month, four or five ounces. Sometimes I'm a little sloppy. Or I think the price of silver needs to come down. (It usually keeps going up.) Then I suddenly buy more silver.
But is it possible to write an article about it that anyone would be interested in?
I think there are worse options for buying precious metals in my country. Until 1989 we were ruled by communism and owning more than three gold coins was forbidden by law. So any collector could be arrested, convicted, imprisoned and have his collection confiscated at any time. In practice, however, I know of no case of this happening.
It was not until the financial crisis of 2008/2009 that more precious metals started to be bought here. This is when the first companies specialising in the sale of gold and silver bullion or coins to the public appeared.
In my country, the local currency is the Czech koruna. Some international companies accept euros in their business, but it is not common.
I think having your own currency makes the coin and bullion business more expensive. I also think that our domestic traders have high mark-ups.
I want to be specific. As I write this article, 1 ounce of silver is worth € 25.67 on the stock exchange.
But for this coin, Canadian Maple Leaf, directly from the mint, I would pay € 30 in local currency. (About 32.5 USD.)
For a coin that has been sold several times, corroded, with minor scratches, I would pay about € 28.
If I buy 20 of these coins, I get a discount of about € 0.5. Since I have already left enough money with my dealer, he usually gives me a small discount for loyalty. Another € 0.5.
So each of these coins cost me about € 25, which is about 26-27 USD. I don't know how much you buy your coins for. That price seems pretty high to me. And I have found the really cheapest dealer in my country, and I go to pick up my coins in person and pay cash. Most Czech silvergoldstackers pay much more.
Is my impression that the coins here are expensive correct, or am I wrong? Thanks for the comments and any support.
To najednou koupím více stříbra...
I'm glad the communist regime is long gone so you can own precious metals to your hearts content! Those are so nice! The maple leaf is a beautiful coin, very nice buy!
By the way, great buy you got on some DUO today!

Thank you. I hope that DUO tokens will pay off in the long run.
To me Silver is still undervalued as a strategic industrial metal with the demand easily exceeding the current supply for the last 3 years. It is deliberately suppressed in my opinion so I continue to stack.
I suppose we're all stacking silver to make a profit.
At least to preserve my buying power, making over and above accumulative inflation would be a bonus.

Welcome to LasseCash, what you write about fit very well here.
I am sorry to hear about communism untill 1989. I think that having your own currency, makes the money stronger, maybe its more expensive, but if you earn the local currency it should be a win.
I dont believe in fiat money anyway, but SILVER and GOLD is fine... personally I endorse Titan X, XEN and Richard Heart (HEX, PULSE, PULSEX and more) ecosystems.

What if @trautenberk dares to write that the Earth isn't flat or that one of the crypto scams you promote is garbage? What if he actually googles about the founder of the HEX and PulseChain shitcoins you promote and finds out that the project founder has been a professional scammer since the mid-2000s?
