We have seen substantial growth in the last two weeks that Serfdom & Sorcery have been around. In the last 7 days alone, there were over 125K messages in the Psyber-X Discord where Serfdom & Sorcery (or S&S) is played.
We're super stoked about that. As a matter of fact, we have some ideas for when we hit 1000 registered players, but we'll keep that information close to our chest for now. Just know we have some cool things coming down the pipe.
Who knew cattle ranching could be so much fun? You go from being a serf who harvests crops every so many minutes for someone else, selling the !harvest for a few DBLNs, to a guy who is buying a farm or two. After killing off pesky monsters that plague your farms and other serfs around you, sending the constable after thieves, and sending ravens out to pluck up lost coins and potions, you finally have enough experience to build a bestiary near your hovel. You can't imagine the trouble it took for me to keep the wardogs off my tail as I went to the market to buy a cow or 6. That precious milk, though! mmmmm! 250 DBLNs every time I milk Bessie 1, Bessie 2, and so forth. It sure makes for a great time around the ol' watering hole, discussing my adventures and experiential growth with my mates around the parish.
For a game that's only been live to the world for less than 2 weeks, its growth has been pretty incredible, if we do say so ourselves. There have already been dozens of folks onboarded to Hive and probably many more to come. Because we know that success of a game depends on the game being up and running, we put into place a plan to create a database to hold vital information for our game's programming. Today, we have implemented some measures that will allow all of you to keep cashing in on those DBLNs even after we've climbed in active users beyond the 4 figure mark. We're ready for the growth...so bring your friends. Hand them a scythe and get to work harvesting!
Beware of the monsters, though. There's rumor that very large beasts, much larger than the ones you'd fight all by yourself, are coming soon. They carry a lot of value and it'll be a lot of experience for a young serf to take these pesky giants on. Slay one with your friends and you'll find your purses a little fatter with DBLNs. Don't face them alone...they may burn down your farm, kill a few cows and eat some of your ravens.
All good things...never you fret, just be at the ready...
Thanks to @enginewitty, Serfdom & Sorcery has been linked to LVL via the new Liquidity Pool DBLN:LVL. That means you can purchase DBLN with LVL, or you can swap LVL for DBLN. In either case, you will be ready to play any of the games provided by the Psyber-X team. I personally swapped some LVL to !buy_farm as the payout is fantastic (my opinion) for owning a farm in Serfdom & Sorcery. Perhaps you will earn some DBLN in the game and trade it for LVL in preparation for placing a wager in Psyber-Decks when the Psyber-X team is ready. You could also use the LVL:Swap.ETH Liquidity Pool to get some ETH or to start moving ETH to DBLN. Imagine that...DBLN for Ethereum. Makes me want to go !mine and !fish some more.
In case you missed it, there is a way to !buy_farm in Serfdom & Sorcery. Get one of those and you'll get a daily payout of DBLN which you can use to buy more potions, a pickaxe, or a myriad of other things. There may be upkeep to keep those farms pumping out DBLN at such a high rate...but for now in the game's infancy, take advantage, I say...but you do you.
The King is the top player. If you get there, you'll earn taxes from all the peasants below you. Not the King? You'll pay taxes to the King...muwahaha...get to work!
uhh. God I hope we have more noble beings show up to defeat "Mecha KLYE the Ass Destroyer"...
(Who in the hell names these frigging staging / dev branch monsters?! lolol)
What's with all the ass destroying in games lately? Just yesterday some self proclaimed hacker was threatening everyone in Golem Overlord chat 😂
We have to unite and defeat this monster before it gets too much
Was an easter egg for JBOSS to find in testing.
Lol, real hackers don't go around claiming to be hackers, even white hats, they call themselves IT guys or system engineers.. :D Only fucking script kiddies openly call themselves hackers.
We must unite and defeat the monster before it destroys our asses! XD
