I don't feel as safe buying a motorcycle. Maybe because its the US, I tend to prefer using a car instead.

I don't ride a bike either, but many do in Spain... As we have many sunny days, it makes sense to drive a motorcycle instead of a car... Especially with all the traffic... It's easier to go through a busy street, but on the other side, it is more dangerous on the road...
Regarding robberies, thefts, I don't think it's that "dangerous" in Spain...
