Studying requires mental, physical and psychological stability. These should be put into consideration by our educational system before offering multiple admissions to an individual. In my opinion , once a student has been admitted, other offers should be terminated. Even if finance is not a barrier, health matters most and should be weighed beyond anything else.
Responding to the second prompt... During my school days, I had a course mate who was running two programs from different institutions then. The stress was too much, sometimes both programs clash that she used machinery in some courses. But you know, there are some lecturers whose courses cannot be maneuvered through such means, and carryover became inevitable. At some point she couldn't cope any more and had to drop.
Running more than one course is not only stressful but also draining. We tend to focus on academic excellence aspect alone, what about the health? Which many live with the consequences. The chances of attaining excellent grade in both courses is even very slim.
Instead of putting 10 fingers inside the mouth at a time, it's better to take one day at a time.
