I can't even imagine pressing phone during prayers. It's uncalled for.
Though in my congregation, we use phones for for studies, but then, when it comes to prayers, we keep the phone and do the needful

Yeah it's so uncalled for and a form of disrespect in my own view as a human not to talk of God
