RE: Sam’s Hangout #121 - “TRIBE OR NATION?”

All rightly said... Well-done bro 👍🏼.

Tribalism is one of the many things that has eaten deep into our system as a country. Even in the littlest situations.

Less than a month ago, I was having a conversation with a friend and he told me the first question he asks any girl he feels something for has to be her tribe. Of course, I asked for a reason and he shared that his parents has a "weird" dislike for Igbos.
This friend in question is of the Yoruba tribe, and in respect to his parents' dislike, he can't afford to be more than friends with an Igbo girl.

The speechlessness that overtook my whole being that night was something else. That was enough to make me realise how sensitive the case of tribal differences is amongst us.

No one should be deprived opportunities, privileges, sense of belonging or treated unfairly because they're of a different tribe from the people above them.
Rather, we all should make room for unity in diversity ❤️.
