RE: When Words Fail: My Struggle with Emotions and Communication

One thing I’ve been doing to improve my communication skills is by intentionally engaging in more face-to-face conversations. I’ve started with something simple—like talking to just one person at a time and trying to maintain eye contact, especially when I’m in public. It might seem small, but for me, it’s a big step. I’ve also been making the effort to go out to different places, sometimes even by myself, just to help build my confidence. I honestly believe that once I become more confident in myself, it’ll be easier to communicate better with others. Also, the group presentations i have participating in, has also been helping me work on my communication as well.

Now, the reason I’ve been working on my communication skills is quite simple—because I know how important it is. Being able to communicate well helps build stronger relationships. Whether it’s in school, at work, or even just in everyday social settings, been able express oneself clearly and confidently makes a big difference. It can open doors to opportunities you never even imagined. Sometimes, the help or opportunity you need won’t come to you unless you speak up or connect with the right people—and that’s only possible when you know how to communicate.

Being a good listener is a good way to communicate better as well; most people don't listen properly so it becomes like two people talking at each other* rather than with each other.
