Hey, my workload was overwhelming, and I was close to burning out. I was frustrated, dealing with one life issue after another. A friend who lives far away knew I was going through a tough time and somehow managed to pull off a surprise. It's not easy for a married person to find time for friends, especially for a night out. Yes, the one on the right is married.
From my perspective, I really needed this without even knowing. From their perspective, it wasn't easy to arrange, especially since both had work the next day.
It was the first time my birthday was celebrated like this, and I felt truly special. However, when I came home late, I was scolded because my family was waiting with a cake, and my nieces had fallen asleep waiting for me. It was hard for them to cut the cake and wait. I knew Mom would be awake and might be upset, so I brought food to lighten the mood. Later, Dad and I cut the cake with the family, and that night we had biryani and a party with my sister, who lives a few blocks away, her husband, and their daughter.
Overall, it was fun but challenging to balance my joy with people's expectations. Yes, I didn't get any rest even on my birthday, and I still provided Hive chat support services on my special day taking around 3-4 hours while I kept doing other tasks on the side too.
