Imagine being able to feel like touching a cold rain, a beating heart or even a flying arrow while practicing virtual archery. This immersive world is one step closer to reality thanks to the innovative VR glove called HaptX Glove.
HaptX Glove is a lightweight, untethered haptic glove that uses a combination of advanced technologies to provide an unparalleled tactile experience in virtual environments. Unlike traditional haptic gloves that rely on vibration motors, the HaptGlove uses miniature pneumatic actuators to simulate a wide range of tactile sensations, including pressure, texture and temperature.
The glove is equipped with a series of small pneumatic actuators strategically placed on the fingers and palm. These actuators can be precisely controlled to reproduce a variety of tactile sensations, from a gentle touch to strong pressure. For example, when you touch a soft virtual object such as a pillow, the actuators will slightly inflate to simulate the feeling of softness. On the other hand, when you touch a hard virtual object such as a rock, the actuators will exert more pressure to simulate the hardness of the object.
