It looks like HIVE went on a price run, it was 0.254

and by January 7th went all the way to 0.60 USD

Looking back further, this was just a bump on the road.
HIVE was $2.87 USD on Nov 29th 2021.

Nov 30th 2021, HIVE was 4656 Satoshis. Then, the 2021-2022 crypto winter.

The 2023 rally to $0.60 USD showed weak conviction and faded quickly amid broader crypto headwinds. HIVE remains a high-risk, speculative asset better suited for convinced holders than pure profit seekers, with no clear recovery catalysts yet. I like it though.

Where is Hive on the adoption cycle? I still think it is early, there are a solid 20,000 Users but not millions of daily posts yet. There are various front ends that are showing promise, Ecency, Liketu, InLEO, DBuzz. One day Hive will take off again, and the demand for HIVE POWER will rise.

The built-in inflation could lead to the supply rising over 800m HIVE in a decade, but that is a feature not a bug. Like DogeCoin, you need a healthy supply of new tokens for use by the community. If HIVE becomes too scarce, no one will want to spend it. We have an opportunity to focus on the fundamentals for now. I have suspected saving more HBD could support the price too.
