Bulldog was talking about getting paid for promoting splinterlands too or rework of referral commission model. I wonder what all web2 OGs of splinterlands think about this proposal.

Honestly, clove71 probably should. She could used $2000 camera & way better equipment with top of the line data tracking tools and aesthetic studio room.
I didn't knew about hive in start. I didn't knew about anything. Still I bought spell book with shaky hands just cause I saw her making money from renting shiny cards similar to Pokémon cards. My mind was blown with the endless possibilities.
When I joined, she gifted me 25$ worth of SPS if I remember correctly as a welcome gift. I made up my mind that I wanna be a part of whatever this welcoming community is. She started the first spark. I wonder how many more OGs are out there who also deserve all the love we can give them back for what they do for hive everyday.
This is a great idea and I agree with you that YouTube is about to blow up with crypto content by next year. We are already seeing how new projects like hamsters and Blum are getting millions of views and subscribers in a matter of weeks.
Would love to see more people leverage this too for Hive as we have a lot to offer people than many of these projects that are being shilled on the mainstream media. I don't have much weight but I'll drop my two cent vote.
It's a usable proposal, I just feel like sometimes, the audience is out there waiting to be explored. Already thousands are being spent on proposals and in-chain projects, so I'll vote this one

I'm not against this, I just think sometimes the research into the funds needed for these proposals tends to be way out of what's necessary. If @brofund wants a bit of advice on what they may need or want, I'd be happy to throw out some suggestions and reduce those costs while also ensuring they're getting what they actually need.
And if this passes I might even consider throwing out my own proposal for some gear given I've got plenty of filmmaking ideas for Hive that never went into fruition out of gear limitations. :^)

$1000 for a 'camera that can shoot wide angle' is genuine madness, I won't lie.
You can buy used cameras that shoot 1080/30 for $300 these days, and even new cameras that shoot 4k30 for $700 (used is about $500).
Sony ZV-1 and 2 are good examples of this.
Yet we waste 30x that on a rally car hardly anybody watches or even knows exists
