Regarding the message, I would say that morality always matter, and actually our responsibility increases with our growing power. Forgot to say in the review this universe is actually a video game but Ainz the main character is stuck in a game for so long he got bored so he just started to conquer everything he see. But deep down he just miss his friends that he used to play with.
