The Slavery of the Mind

For many, the mind is a prison.

If you understand the mind then it is essentially a prison for emotions.

I mean, if you don't have control over your emotions then the mind can be a very intense prison; one of never really knowing how to understand or break free from however you feel at times.

Many people; many men in fact think that to gain control over emotions is to suppress them down into oblivion -- not feeling anything, or not attempting to understand them at all.

In the trade of Mental Health I was taught that to heal, one needs to understand themselves. What makes us do the things that we do.

The mind isn't just a prison for negative emotions it's one for positive emotions too -- any addict can attest to that.

Addictions come to you when the mind is starved of love and health -- and the slightest spark of hope can feel like the universe is being birthed to you in one sitting.

That's how my addictions were at the beginning. There was love in my family, but not understanding.

Understanding was what I was looking for and it always seemed like I was wandering lonely in a world where no-one understands me.

Until I found alcohol.

When faced by the darkness day in, day out, plagued by intense emotion that you don't understand nor care to comprehend, you just want to be normal like other people, and then all of a sudden you taste the sweet nectar of the gods.

And then, you understand the world and the world understand you -- momentarily.

I wanted more and more until I couldn't stop.

The mind, is a prison, unless you begin to understand it.

Through many years of trying to understand my own mind I've realised that we are slaves to our emotions.

We take action on how we feel at any given time; hungry, happy, sad, depressed, apathetic, you name it, if we feel it then we are going to take action on it.

Very few sit there idly and not act on how we feel.

It took me years to see that what was true in my own life — emotion feeding cycles of pain or growth — was also true for communities. And that’s why I built The Flame

It's not built to make money, it's built to recycle emotion. And money too is a very nice biproduct of the end product of that emotion.

Each vessel that feeds The Flame has it's own emotional channel that flows into it.

We start off with us writers, who quite frankly would write regardless if the pot was overflowing or empty.

We write to feel.

The reward for our writers is not through Pyresoul, but the chance to write on The Flame.

The next channel is delegations. If you delegate to The Flame you not only receive tokens for your effort, but also hive from Pyresoul.

Just wait until delegators feel the power of hive dripping back to them as well as tokens.

This then feeds back to The Flame. Big delegations, more rewards for writers, more people want to write on The Flame.

Creating a nice feedback loop!

But what about token holders? Well, not everyone likes to delegate, or even hold hive. There are some token purists out there who own hive engine tokens only.

So if you hold our tokens then you get Pyresoul (and hive) too.

Of course some will see that extra hive as a vessel to earn and keep the hive in a nice pot -- but others will see the reward in buying extra tokens -- maybe ours, maybe others.

But one thing is for sure -- the bottom of hive will no longer be pleb ville. People will be earning and earning well.

Buying and holding our tokens is going to ignite the passion for something older, more deep than just penny trading.

And the last vessel is our discord. People earn for being on there now. We'll inspire art, create many different rooms for people to create and network in.

It's an interesting way to look at defi -- yet ours is very different.

If someone takes a big delegation away? The pyresoul pot only gets larger for everyone else.

If someone sells out of BRO or LGN? Rewards don't get less or larger, they recycle ownership.

If someone stops posting to The Flame? There will be a thousand other people waiting to take their place.

The money is not in token ownership, it's in the flow. And we're going to make one serious feedback loop that creates a gravity well that will suck everyone in.

From everywhere.

The small rewards right now are just to get your attention.

Soon.

It all begins soon.

The Flame will set you free from the slavery of your mind.

For many, the mind is a prison. But soon, the Flame unlocks its first gates. And what flows out will not stop.
