How to Properly Influence on X as Hiveans

So right now as I'm waiting on other stuff dropping I've been focusing all my energy on growing Twitter.

Seems like all we do in the cryptosphere is wait for good stuff to drop. But fear not, young reader, this bull market is going to melt faces completely off. I've been digging beneath the surface this year and I've found that there's some real game changing stuff on the horizon and this may be the year that we're headed towards, or at least far more closer to mass adoption than we've ever been.

Stay tuned.

Anyway..

Twitter is an interesting beast. I like sharing my findings here because I'm hoping that it encourages one or two of you to take the mantle like I am doing and start seriously building towards proper influence. Like not just a couple of thousand followers, but like, proper proper 100k influence.

Of course this will take a couple of years -- Rome wasn't built in a day; it took several hundred years of wars and economical pursuits to have anything worthwhile, it's the same with literally everything you see that's great in this world.

It takes time and effort to build. Starlets like Hailey Welch are flukes and the chances of that happening to you are so minimal I wouldn't even bother.

So we build for the future.

I used to have a blog that would see 30,000 reads a month and I could charge at least $200 a pop for anyone that wanted a sponsored post. I'd like to get back to that level again. I miss having that type of cultural sway on people.

So what are my findings so far?

Well, today I broke my best day -- I managed 190,106 views on my content and 695 people popped onto my profile to see what I was about. 16 of them stuck around and followed me (along with 5 verified followers). I asked Grok if this was any good and Grok told me it was exceptional, accounts my size would kill for that type of growth.

So what am I doing that's different? Well, I don't see why you can't be doing this too:

I am literally waiting for one of those viral posts to pop up on my feed and I either comment something witty, or charming, or go against the grain -- which most people think in their heads anyway.

It's hard to get the reach at first but if you stay consistent then you'll recognise which posts to hit and when. It's probably going to be different on every account -- depending on your size, your interests, and usually what you normally comment on, but I'll expect you have your fair share of posts that get reach coming on your feed too.

Comment on them, and comment on them lots. Search for the sweet spot -- usually when they first come out. I've found that hitting them between 1 min and 10 mins is usually great for a traction making comment if it's any good.

Be thoughtful, be inspiring, be someone that another person would want to follow.

On my travels I've also realised to stay away from Politics and delicate issues. I've stopped leaking followers now that I've completely stopped talking on Political posts. Some of it just seems like straight forward sense, but I often forget people have different beliefs to me and take them seriously.

Why am I doing it this way?

Well, I'm doing it this way to gain followers at first. No-one's going to find me or follow me if I'm just constantly talking about my own projects. If I was a mega account, then yes, I could do that, but not as a small account like I am right now.

People are curious beasts, and it takes them a while to be convinced. For small accounts like us then we have to do it by second hand. I post something awesome in the comments, someone sees that and thinks - wow, yes, I like what they are about. I'm going to check out their profile.

That's the hook. You saw what I said earlier. 695 people went to my profile today -- only 16 followed. This is a natural process. It's only big big accounts that get to make wild claims right on their feed and have people follow them.

Profile matters a whole deal too. I've been A/B testing that and it seems people tend to follow me more when I am clear and concise about what we do - the message is clear and the pinned post is understandable.

If you're interested in doing the same as me then hit me up here: https://x.com/BroTokenHive - I'll be regularly sharing my hints and tips and my experiences on this journey.

I'm kind of enjoying being sort-of in the spotlight again. haha.

Congrats! 100K is a big number and people are fickle. One day they like you, the next they don't. It is what it is. Hope you can find the formula that works for you to achieve this audience.
