Out of the hibernation

Let's not be fooled, spring is not just about the sun and flowers. It's not just a spectacle of the colors of the blossoms and flowers (although my next planned post in this community is again for blossoms. I'm just waiting for a few more trees to bloom in our garden.)

Spring also includes all those creatures, known and unknown, that appear at this time of year and tend to accompany us and live with us during the rest of the year.

And I've already seen some of them.

Well, paper wasps are not as unpleasant animals as other people would say. For me. Maybe because I'm not afraid of them and that's why they don't sting me.

I show you these ladybugs because they have occupied our garden and house since last year.

And... have you seen anything like this? How many colors of ladybugs already exist? 🤔 They will certainly become much more. 🤭

But I have already seen much more.

Here, I'm showing you an insect I don't know. I see it for the first time this year. Maybe you'll tell me its name. But I really see it for the first time.

I also saw how our gorgeous Narcissus poeticus had already withered. Then it turned out that it was because of some cute little bugs that ate their petals.

But I also saw the horrifying devil's coach-horse beetle, which often came into our house at night last year.
Really, I didn't have the slightest intention of photographing this animal.

And I've also removed a few ticks from the head of one of our domestic cats. Interestingly, ticks harass only one of our three remaining cats.

And what I'm showing you here is another unknown animal to me.

I found it while removing a weed and put it on the garden stone fountain.

It seemed that it was still hibernating. Or it was just pretending to be dead.😄

And it was probably the second, because by the time I turned my back, it had already begun to move rapidly along the stone cladding of the fountain.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.
