LBI's 2025 goals - progress report.

Near the end of 2024, I put out a post setting out some goals for this year. Without all the preamble - this post will check in on those targets and see how we are going.

What are the goals?

Just to recap, here are our 6 primary goals for 2025:

  • Goal 1: 35,000 total HP, adding 13,000 over the year.

  • Goal 2: 2500 BXT (up from 1122 currently)

  • Goal 3: 300 INCOME (up from 138 currently)

  • Goal 4: 2000 EDSI (up from 427 currently)

  • Goal 5: 7000 DBOND (up from 3200 currently)

  • Goal 6: 3000 Total wallet HIVE value for @lbi-pwr (up from 1477 currently)

Ok, so lets look at each goal and see if we are on track 7 weeks later.

Goal 1: 35,000 total HP, adding 13,000 over the year.

At the time of the original post, we had 22330 HIVE powered up. Currently, we are at 22709, so we have added 379 HP. This is miles below what would be required to hit this target. Post payouts on their own are not going to cut it, we are going to have to find some HIVE profits from our other investments to get this one on track. Without some big gains, or selling out of something and powering it all up, this goal won't happen.

I'd rate this goal AT RISK at this stage.

Goal 2: 2500 BXT (up from 1122 currently)

We have grown our BXT quite nicely since the post, and currently hold 1866 now. We have added 744 since the goal post was published, which puts us well ahead of schedule. My plan has been to hit these smaller targets pretty hard to begin with, so we can tick them off nice and early in the year and then concentrate on the bigger goals later on down the track.

This target is definitely AHEAD OF SCHEDULE currently.

Goal 3: 300 INCOME (up from 138 currently)

Our INCOME holding has grown from 138 to 183, an increase of 45 so far. To be on track, we needed to add a bit over 3 INCOME per week. We have so far added almost 6.5 per week, so we are in good shape here. As with BXT, I'd like to tick this one off early, so the bigger target of 13000 HP added for the year can be a focus in the second half of the year.

Here we are also AHEAD OF SCHEDULE for now.

Goal 4: 2000 EDSI (up from 427 currently)

Since that post, we have gained 179 EDSI in the first 7 weeks of the year. This averages out to 25.5 per week, which is exactly what we would expect from our investments. This rate of gain is very predictable, and in this post a month ago I said the following:

I wouldn't mind picking up more EDSI directly off the market with spare funds, but we grow by 25 EDSI per week passively so that isn't a high priority.

We can state with a high degree of certainty that we will gain 1300 EDSI over the year if we keep this wallet untouched. That would give us 1727 at year end. To hit the target, we need to buy 273 EDSI off the market, or add a few more miners (just over 1000 to be precise) or boost the HP delegation. Buying them would be easiest.

This goal I'd rate as ON TARGET overall.

Goal 5: 7000 DBOND (up from 3200 currently)

We are well behind on this target so far. RUG mintage of DBOND has been below my prediction in the goals post. Additionally, we assumed purchasing extra DBONDS to hit an ambitious target of 7000 total. At our current rate we will fall well short of this target. Better get to work and focus a bit more on this one.

This goal is definitely AT RISK for now, but still do-able.

Goal 6: 3000 Total wallet HIVE value for @lbi-pwr (up from 1477 currently)

Right now we are at 2200 HIVE value, so we are well ahead of target here. Extra funds have been added, which accounts for the good position. Without changing anything from now on we will hit the target. We gain around 3 PWR per day to compound. That gives us 945 for the rest of the year, pushing us past the goal without needing to change anything.

So goal 6 is officially AHEAD OF SCHEDULE currently.


Overall, I'm happy with the progress we are making. Three of the six goals are well ahead of schedule, one is on track and we are behind on two. I feel that is pretty good going just 7 weeks in to the year. The HIVE target, and the DBOND one will be the big challenge to achieve with all the other goals currently under control.

Thanks for the update.
As for HP there are 2 solutions - more content, maybe we should invite LBI holders to post content with 50-50 beneficiary reward set.the exact division is to be determined.

The second one is readjusting delegations to the projects ahead of schedule, but I would wait with that for the first quarter of the year to end to evaluate.

As an author I have often fought for 80%, i know other programs have found authors for less %, but often they burnout.

I'll be blunt here - if you were to bring audience and upvotes making it worthwhile for LBI, I might agree with paying 80-20. In other cases it's the other way around, the LBI provides more.

More content would be good. @no-advice runs the weekly RUNE guessing game for 50/50 split, and occasionally makes other posts from time to time. I'd welcome it if another LBI holder wished to make a post each week for similar - as long as the content meets community (certain Hive police) standards so we stay out of trouble with the powers that be. As Eco says though, finding someone who will be consistent for 1/2 post payout is difficult, and an 80/20 split hardly makes it worthwhile for LBI.

Delegation adjustment is getting closer in my head - over the last 4 weeks one of our primary delegations has only paid out 16 of 28 days. Getting increasingly frustrating, maybe it's time to move on.
