RE: How I use the new PeakD KE feature to prevent rewarding scammers

To begin with, I'm also happy to see that one of the main front-ends I use from Hive is constantly being updated and developed, especially in these times. Now, regarding KE, it is true that it is one of those controversial topics that have existed recently and which I can say I have seen up close in these two years that I have been in Hive. I have my personal opinions on this, and I know it's a very useful measure for identifying certain accounts that have the potential to belong to people who are just trying to extract every penny they earn on Hive.

For example, the case of the "InLeo investor" that you mention in your post is interesting because, recently, I have seen many curiously similar accounts in the PeakD Snap Feed. All these accounts have some similarity in their usernames like iamleo or whateverleo and they all upload the same Snaps with the same phrases and images taken from Google about "fine growing" and so on. I've read that one of the main reasons these accounts potentially exist on Hive and are active on Snap is due to the rewards Snaps give to creators through the @commentrewarder account.

I've noticed that these rewards are sometimes high in terms of the amount of HIVEs and that they originate from Snaps that barely reach a couple of cents. While this may not seem like much at first glance, for a malicious person it's a perfect loophole to easily extract money simply by creating multiple accounts and uploading a bunch of Snaps in PeakD (by Front itself, by Snappie, by hSnap, by whatever). Thus, with each HIVE they receive from ComentRewarder, they keep adding it up across multiple accounts they may have, and that's how they earn money without even receiving that many votes a day.

Note: I still lack a lot of information on how the ComentRewarder rewards work in PeakD Snaps. I would like to see this special feature (I say special because it's something new and unknown to me outside of what I know about the ComentRewarder project) not abused so much, and that Snaps should only work with the normal rewards of 50/50 or 100% HP and such, and the Tips button, and that's it. It would also be great to add the Downvotes feature to Snaps for these fraudulent accounts like the ones I mentioned above.
