RE: How I use the new PeakD KE feature to prevent rewarding scammers

It has been a while that I don't see KE being discussed around! We like to put the guilty only in the DHF (which I agree is a big player on the inflation problem also), but we forget that we get Hive from posting and curating, so KE is important also, however it doesn't play a role by itself. I just entered the user you mentioned, he got 42 hive for now hehehe . That's not even 5 USD. Of course that if a guy got only 42 hive of rewards and spent all of them is bad... but there are bigger problems, There is a good post from @azircon that he shows plots about total rewards and ke, that is a great visualization! People that already sold thousands of hive.

It's just 42 Hive now, but these actors have dozens of accounts that collect a couple of Hive every now and then. In the end they collect quite a lot of Hive that doesn't stay on Hive.

It is upto the community to take action. There is no reason to vote extremely high KE individuals who post frequently and has high rep. There is almost no reason that I can think of when these 3 things converge and are all high

  • High KE; say higher than 3-5
  • High Rep; say higher than 70
  • High post frequency, more than 5 times a week

If that is not a curation program then that individual is a definitive extractor.

I was wondering how much it changed from your last post! Do we have new players that grew in this matter? ehhehe
