RE: HiveWatcher's Politics of Not Being Political

(edited)

"her" so-called "criticism" was a baseless accusation with no sense or understanding of HW work. They kept going on and on, so at some point I just considered it trolling and spamming the notifications. So it was silenced.

Please provide evidence that HW blacklisted someone for political reasons/politically partisan. I have heard that trolling accusations many times, and when asked to provide evidence of it, it was never provided.

That's quite a convenient way to move the goalposts.

You made the claim that @ladyaryastark's criticism was baseless, that she didn't understand the work, that she was trolling and spamming, and that this justified silencing her. The evidence for those claims would presumably be rather important if you're going to use them to justify what you did.

I'm not going to sit here and prove everyone's innocence for you. That's not how this works. You were the one making the accusations and justifying the action taken against her.

And notice that I gave you several examples in my comment, including my own experience of being banned from your Discord for asking questions, and the rather interesting practice of telling people to appeal through a Discord they couldn't access. You didn't address any of that. Instead you picked one part of my comment and asked me to prove a much narrower claim about blacklisting.

I never said you had a button labelled “political blacklist.” I'm talking about the broader pattern of political behavior, how dissent was treated, and the fact that you yourself have repeatedly made political distinctions relevant to how people were treated.

You just demonstrated part of the problem again, actually. Someone asks questions you don't like, you decide they're trolling, and then you silence them. Apparently the important part is not whether they were actually abusive, but whether you personally decided their questions had crossed the line.

That's a rather interesting standard for an organization whose entire job was supposedly distinguishing abuse from everything else.

So no, I'm not going to provide you with a dossier proving everyone's innocence. The ball is still in your court. You made the accusations. Explain them.
