Right you are, but although decentralization can reduce the concentration of power, it doesn't solve the consent problem by itself. Power can be decentralized and still be coercive. A person can still be given choices where none of the available choices amount to genuine consent.

The biggest issue I have found in decentralization is due to pareto principles and accessibility. As the case with hive the people who most benefit from decentralization do not own cell phones but they may have access to a computer in the community or someone with a cell phone. Working class people have a unique opportunity in this age to invest and DAO about the future they would like to see instead of just accepting the narrative presented by capital.
