Lol.. this felt like you were talking to me.... Imagine I followed the link to the biweekly writing contest only to realize the genre is beyond my comfort zone. I am pretty sure this is something your Diva, @justclickindiva can't relate to since you already mentioned she switches up like a pro and wows her audience with her writing ability to take up different shapes and forms depending on the occasion.

Hello @sabrinah. Nice to meet you. Yes, it does take years of hard work to perfect your own writing style. In the start of my journey, I felt all genres were out of my comfort zone. But I just wrote what I felt and how I interpreted the story, what I wanted my readers to see and feel, then found helpful tips to achieve the affect. After a while, I understood how to step back and read my story from a reader's point of view with the mindset of something I learned in the beginning...show, don't tell.
