dCity Progress Update #54

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope the week started out well for everyone. A little busier this week and will be doing a quick update on how it went in my city and how much more SIM I've gathered.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

SIM income somehow dropped a little from the 106 back to 105 with some minor dynamics change within the city but shouldn't be too big a concern. No change in structures, focus has been really clear to ensure growth in total SIM. Young citizens were offloaded and put on the market in hope for buyers to snap them up to gain me more SIM. The city continues to be with 0 young citizens being held.

I do think I may need to act on the unemployment rate before it hurts my daily income. Will go ponder and see how to further reduce the unemployment rate by getting a building with decent income to house these unemployed citizens.

There is something interesting that I observed this week as well:

Since I do not have anymore young citizens, where did this 3 young citizen come from? And that's when I realized that my unsold young citizen also matured while being on the market. As such a reminder to all to always keep watch and be aware of what you have in the market and take them down to reprice if required.

Welcome New Citizens
Since the last update, there were many students added. A total of 3 young citizens have started schooling and move one step closer towards contributing for the city.

In terms of Student graduation, I did have a student becoming a Scientist!

And not sure why, the asking price for Scientist is real high when I looked at the market.

If this price holds, the ROI of getting a scientist from graduation is really awesome.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

There is a boost in 6k SIM into this update where I manage to clear some young citizens and at the same time selling off some of my layer 2 tokens to continue pushing my SIM holdings. Later on in the week when I have a little more time, I will continue working on clearing the layer 2 tokens to continue building up my SIM.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 459,306 SIM. Not as big an increase compared to previous update but the strategy is still the same, continue daily young citizen sales and pushing layer 2 tokens that do not have immediate use towards building up more SIM.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

The average value is still catching up to my actual SIM holdings and with my current additional injection, hopefully it will ramp up the average faster as I continue the chase towards the goal.

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.66 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure has a minimal increase probably due to the changing SIM price. However, the key focus does not change, converting unused layers 2 and also selling young citizens to keep the city balanced and earn some SIM. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Closing
Thank you all for coming by and reading my update. Something I learned from this week is that we need to be always be aware of what we put up in the market, some might even change while there are in the market. Most importantly if they up their value while in the market, then we definitely need to take them down and reprice them or have them boost up the city stats etc. Another thing to continue looking at will be the possible selling of scientist since it is giving such a good ROI.
