dCity Progress Update #51

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing well so far and with a blink of an eye, we are halfway into the month of May. Time really flies, but on the other hand, my city didn't had much action hence I dived into the market and work on getting more SIM.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

SIM income have managed to yet again achieve a new high of 104 SIM from previous 101 SIM. Just a slight increase instead of a big leap in daily income. I do hope I can continue improve this to further gain more SIM on a daily basis and avoid becoming too near to the bottom of top 400 in the event I drop off and unable to claim daily young citizen.

In terms of the scary ranking situation called out in my previous post, thankfully with the changes in taxes and all all, I have once again have a slightly better safety net as compared to them where I was just 18 spots away from the bottom of top 400 in income.

While there is some buffer, I believe it is still critical to continue improving the income so that any big changes, I still will be in a safety zone and not being caught dry which will cause me unable to claim the young citizen.

Welcome New Citizens
Since the last update, there were many students added. A total of 6 young citizens have started schooling and move one step closer towards contributing for the city.

For now, no students have graduated and I hope there will be some in the next update.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

A record high in the increase from 361k to breaking the 400k mark at 403k, this a big jump in 42k. This time round, because of the lack of activity in growing the city, I focus alot more on the layer 2 token conversion and this time round pushed myself to gather more SIM so that I can move nearer to the goal . Instead of having those tokens lying around doing nothing, why not just use them and push towards having more SIM holdings.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 403,444 SIM. So far it all came from daily income and also young citizen sales. For sure there will need to have additional SIM being purchased to boost my liquid hive income.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.63 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure has a minimal increase probably due to the changing SIM price. However, the key focus does not change, converting unused layers 2 and also selling young citizens to keep the city balanced and earn some SIM. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

I have been procrastinating too much in converting larger amount of SIM from my layer 2 tokens but glad to have make more changes into SIM this week to further improve my SIM holdings. While I grow my SIM holdings, I also need to be mindful of the income rankings and ensure I have enough to stay afloat for daily young citizen claims.
