dCity Progress Update #47

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing really well. Work intensity still remained high and work hours remained high. Similar to last week, we have more citizens joining the city which is a real good thing my previous big pool of students are joining the society one by one. And with more people in the workforce, further optimization is needed in the city.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans

SIM income have managed to yet again achieve a new high of 94 SIM from previous 91 SIM. I am really glad that there is progress in the SIM income week after week. A very promising sign that I will need to continue working on week after week to ensure a good progress in growth.

Welcome New Citizens
Similar to last week, though not at the same amount, we welcome new citizens whom have graduated from their studies and joined the workforce.

In total, 4 new citizens have upgraded from students and we welcome 2 professors, 1 doctor and 1 priest. The best thing from this is that everyone of them still had tax refund stat embedded in them and that is where the increase in income came from. And not only that, with 2 more professors, I am expecting that the rate of the number of students graduating will improve.

At this moment, there are 21 students remaining in school whom are waiting to come into the workforce to contribute.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

With the Hive Power Up day that just passed, I did not have too much liquid Hive so I did channel some of the layer 2 token sales into getting sufficient liquid hive for powering up and supporting Hive Power Up Day. While the growth in SIM holdings did slow down a little, I do hope in due time, I will want to move to the next milestone of 400k SIM holdings and accelerate towards becoming a SIM millionaire.

No change to key focus, gather as much SIM as possible in the near term and push towards being a SIM Millionaire. To continue work on converting and repurposing un-used layer 2 tokens into SIM.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 341,379 SIM. With quite a number of students going into debt and needing to settle the debt fees, some of the SIM that I gathered also went into paying those fees and affected my SIM holdings. Nevertheless, there needs to be continuous work be it from daily SIM income, selling of young citizens or through layer 2 token repurpose.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.60 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure is of no change, but with more young citizen sales and further bulking up of SIM, the daily liquid hive value will slowly increase. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Closing
While I do have to spend a little on clearing the debt for the students, it is still for greater good for the city and to get things moving on course. I do love seeing the students graduating and it is really like a roulette where different students, different profession. It's a great joy to see how the city started from a few small shops and some citizen growing into a decent size with many different citizens contributing from all walks of life.
