dCity Progress Update #44

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing ok as we embark into the month of March. Big changes are happening in my city with loads of citizens changing profession recently. Was a little surprised that everything happened at almost the same time. For sure this is a good sign of progress as we continue see the young citizens of the city grow up.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans

SIM income have managed to break the 80 mark and is now at 83 SIM which I am really glad. In my last post I did mention that I would want to focus on gathering more SIM instead of growing more income. However, due to changes within the city, I had to do some changes to accomodate to the change and ensure my unemployment rate stays low which ended up as a good thing where my income went up through the midst of all these adjustment.

What exactly happened?
A total of 11 citizen profession change happened within this week. On this I saw a total of 10 young citizens becoming students and a politician appeared in my city too. I got a shock when I saw the politician and saw a big plunge in my income. However, till I sort out what I want to do with the politician, I temporary list it up for sale at astronomical price to prevent the effects of it affecting my city.

With the 10 new student additions, I carve out some SIM and bought a few Wind Turbine to ensure I keep the employed as low as I can. And so, today I am at 17 Wind Turbine. With all these changes, I've managed to boost my income to above 80 which is something real good. And with Wind Turbine accumulating, it is almost time to get ready to purchase the remaining parts of the Wind Farm crafting.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

A steady amount of SIM build up saw improvement in the current SIM holdings. Fewer sale of young citizen as the city bulk up and pushed the daily income above 80 to 83SIM. There were also purchases that happened which ate into the SIM income.

Strategy will remain the same, continued Young Citizen sales unless again big demographic changes happen in the city and also finding opportunity to offload un-used layer 2 tokens to bulk up as much SIM as possible. While I am still far from the target, I know with the steady building up and active managing of the city and my assets, I will be able to push ahead and draw nearer to the goal.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 329,416 SIM. SIM increase this week mainly coming from the sales of young citizens where we've manage to offload quite a number this week as well. Let's continue to grow and grow, charging towards the goal of getting 1 million SIM especially thankful after meeting a new SIM holdings milestone.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.57 liquid Hive per month. For now, the daily Hive drip figure is of no change, but with more young citizen sales and further bulking up of SIM, the daily liquid hive value will slowly increase. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Closing
What a week of amazing demographic changes and activity within the city. Been a while since I saw changes, but didn't expect all of them to happen all in the same week. City is definitely growing but I must not lose sight of my goal and continue building up my SIM holdings and move towards becoming a SIM Millionaire.
