dCity Progress Update #43

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing ok while we slowly inch towards the end of February. While I look back at how I've grown in this month, the city had not grown as much as I wanted it to be, but a good crossing of the 300k SIM milestone felt really good. Today I will be relooking at how I want to strategize my growth of my asset in dCity.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

SIM income managed to remain at 78 SIM and consistently adding this amount to my holdings. There were also no increase in this figure due to no additions of income generating cards. Initially, my thought were to attempt to move this 78 SIM income per day to 100 SIM as soon as possible. However after some thought, I would like to change this interim plan. While it might be good to increase steady base of SIM daily, 100 per day probably will land me at most 3000 SIM per month which is not going to make me go any closer to the goal of becoming a SIM Millionaire.

Going from 1 month 3000 SIM + an average young citizen income sale, it will be hard to close the gap to reach the SIM Millionaire goal. And I will discuss this in the next section.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

A steady amount of SIM build up saw improvement in the current SIM holdings. With some good sales of young citizens, I manage to get 10k worth of SIM into my holdings which is really amazing.

The change that I want to administer on myself is that instead of seeking out opportunity to buy cards to boost my income, I would want to channel my focus on gathering more SIM directly all the way until becoming a SIM Millionaire before expanding my city proper unless there are really cards that I come across and should not miss purchasing them.

For now, I will be trying to offload the layer 2 tokens that I've accumulated from curation. But somehow dswap is not really working right now. Once ready, I will start trading them out and also see opportunity to gather from market directly when prices are favourable.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 322,785 SIM. SIM increase this week mainly coming from the sales of young citizens where we've manage to offload quite a number this week as well. Let's continue to grow and grow, charging towards the goal of getting 1 million SIM especially thankful after meeting a new SIM holdings milestone.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.57 liquid Hive per month. We've drop a little from last week but with more young citizen sales and increase in SIM holdings, I certainly hope to grow this amount bit by bit as the days progress. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Closing
Because I realize I am not gaining SIM fast enough and still a big chunk of SIM away from my goal, I will adjust the focus to grow the SIM base and accelerate towards being a SIM Millionaire instead of spending SIM on buying cards which will net me minor increase in SIM. But nevertheless, it is still not deviating from my eventual growing of the city, just that I would like to swap the order of growing.
