dCity Progress Update #40

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope you are doing ok. I am very busy and soaked up in the festivities of the Chinese New Year. Loads of visitation and also hosting of others whom came by to my place for a meal or just visit to catch up. And apologies that the update of my city is a little irregular. The city did grow passively while I was busy with the celebrations, which is something really good as not many games offer passive earnings like this game and I am really thankful.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

Introduction
Good day to everyone, wishing everyone whom celebrate Chinese New Year a prosperous and joyful year ahead. It's time again to look at the progress of my city as full a week had past. Because it is the Chinese New Year season, it was a week of reduced activity but it does not mean the city went stagnant. I am really glad that I have managed to clear a new milestone in my SIM that I hold so let's continue today's sharing.

With people visiting me at my place or me travelling to theirs during their festive period, the amount of time I am able to monitor the market had significantly reduced. However, I was able to move the previously 73 SIM income daily back to 77 SIM with some tweaking. Think there will be a need to push towards 100 SIM per day in terms of income so probably I will try to work towards that well to further grow my SIM accumulation to qualify for better rewards.

Today the wind turbine that I have stands at 12 which is approximately 50% of what I am shooting for, no change to number of wind turbines. To further grow this, I will continue to buy up the wind turbine set which consist of a wind turbine, an economist and an eco-activist. And something to also not is also that I have now 79 Tax refund (which was what I built previously) and I should be loading up more card to make use of this tax refund that was being built up.

I've mentioned I want to look into diversification of what I have in dCity in order to not get trapped when a simple policy not suiting my city lineup. I will continue to study the options and then share with you guys when I am ready.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

Minor improvement even though bulk of it was through passive and I think it is good growth on a passive way. The accumulation might not be as fantastic while we act on growing the city, but whatever we do earlier are slowly coming to fruition and passively we also benefit.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 303,318 SIM. SIM increase this week mainly coming from passive growth and some sales of young citizens. One thing to note is that there is currently a very big fluctuation for young citizen price which goes up and down. Let's continue to grow and grow, charging towards the goal of getting 1 million SIM especially thankful after meeting a new SIM holdings milestone.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.57 liquid Hive per month. Slight increase from last week but with more sales and increase in SIM holdings, this amount hopefully can grow from strength to strength. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

While liquid hive rewards are not coming for the past 2 days, hopefully hive engine side which recently had attacks will recover soon and all rewards will resume.

Closing
It is not something great to witness people launching attacks on the blockchain. But nevertheless, the witnesses really came together to get things moving. Will work more on the city growth and also try to gather up more SIM when the opportunity appears.
