dCity Progress Update #37

Introduction
Good day to everyone, been slightly more than a week since I last updated on my city progress. I have been playing this game for coming to a year now and I like how things are going. And this induces me to keep growing my city and aiming to gather more SIM income daily. This allows me to grow my Hive/HP to further grow within the blockchain and also work on learning more about the game to make my city bigger and bigger.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City and Intermediate Plans

Small growth seen in the city with a new set of wind turbine with eco-activist being purchased. And with this, I have managed to balance the employment in my city and to prevent additional social support cost due to unemployed citizens.

In terms of the wind farm project, I am still quite a distance away but I will definitely be ramping my progress to getting this quick as I further build up more assets in the city by trading off layer 2 tokens.

At this moment, I also see that my current income is limited by the total amount of tax refund I have for my city which means that I will need to work on getting cards with more tax refunds to further improve income in my city because my base income is way higher than what I am getting now.

With this understanding, key is to keep a look out in the market for good prices Eco-Activist whom will give 2 tax refund.

For now, they are going at 2500 SIM per piece which I personally think is quite a decent price. Hopefully I can continue to get good trades for this and build up my tax refund base for my city as I continue to grow. I will also be keeping a look out for other tax refund cards as long as they will help my city to grow.

SIM Millionaire Goal Progress

I have decided to keep this in my updates so as to keep an eye on myself to ensure I am truly making progress and moving closer to this goal as build my city. From last update, we had a 9k increase which is not too bad. But I am still quite far from the goal of becoming a SIM millionaire which I need to work harer.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 289,243 SIM. SIM increase mainly coming from Young Citizen sales for this week and also minimal layer 2 token swaps. Let's continue to grow and grow, charging towards the goal of getting 1 million SIM.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will get 0.51 liquid Hive per month. Some fluctuation and this value is dropping which is a strong hint for me that I need to continue to build up this value. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.

Closing
Time to cut away the slack and build up the city especially with passive liquid dropping due to pricing. There is definitely room to grow in my city especially on improving the tax refund to allow more SIM income per day and climb up the leaderboard rank to obtain more SIM from higher position in leaderboard.
