dCity Progress Update #33

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope everyone is doing alright. Time to take stock and check out how my city is doing. I want to continue expanding my city but at the same time pushing hard on accumulating SIM so that I can inch nearer to becoming a SIM Millionaire.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

Right before I do this post, I did a super quick "Christmas Shopping". And with this purchase, and hence I've managed to get my daily income from 64 to 68 which is something I am really glad. Similar to last week, I bought one set of the wind turbine set that I self defined, which is one wind turbine and 2 economist. And with this, I have now build up to 10 sets of wind turbine that are fully active.

There is one thing that I realize when I look through my income side bar. This is what I see:

This is something that needs to be worked on as it tells me that my Sim income is fully based on how much tax refund I have. As such, I might need to look into getting more tax refund to further boost my SIM income. These cards are not cheap and some might need to some crafting, which I guess is why my mentor @ryosai emphasized on finding ways to get more tax refund through getting pieces of high tax refund structures then subsequently craft them to improve tax refund in my city. And as such I will need to push towards forming that Wind Farm.

Diving Into More Tax Refund

There are really many ways to achieve tax refund and definitely young citizens and students are part of it. At this current state, my main tax refund is coming from citizen cards such as young citizens, students, economist and eco-activist. The desire for me to want to earn more income led me to taking more economist and not getting the balance between tax refund and income. With the knowledge that my city is now at its brim for tax refund, I will have to swing my purchase to getting more eco-activist instead of economist. I am also looking forward to getting all the pieces for Wind Farm and crafting it to land me a whopping 45 tax refund.

There is much to be done to ramp up the tax refund which I will continue to work on. Key now is to ensure I have enough to build the city yet continue to let the SIM amount continue to accumulate.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 267,354 SIM. SIM increase mainly coming from Young Citizen sales for this week, while layer 2 sales helped me to get my wind turbine set. Bit by bit, the goal is minimally 1m SP to join the Sim Club while building the city concurrently.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.099 liquid Hive per month, fluctuations and now we dropped a little more than previous. The only way to get more Hive passive coming in is to continue to build the SIM power. This amount earned passively will actually aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now I am 30% completed which I am really thankful.

Closing
Without paying attention to my tax refund, it made me saturate a little in terms of my daily SIM income. With this, I will have to readjust my purchases and continue to purchase cards with higher tax rebate instead of solely on economist.
