dCity Progress Update #31 and My Third Anniversary on Hive

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope everyone is doing alright. I am glad to be back and share an update on my city. And coincidentally, it is my 3rd anniversary on hive.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

Currently, the daily income had been maintained at 61 SIM. The big negative has not been fixed as I am still hoping that some of my students can finally join the workforce. And when they do so, hopefully the negative income from students will be nullified.

I did not make any purchase this week but manage to clear a few of my young citizen to further increase my SIM base. Recently, there were some small issues here and there with the nodes and bringing some trouble to the game interface and I holding back to make any purchases for now. And today there seem to be also issue that prevented us from claiming young citizen even when I am top 400 in terms of income. Let's hope everything from the nodes settle down as we charge up and get ready to get more things from the market to boost the market.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 258,564 SIM. SIM increase mainly coming from Young Citizen sales and daily rewards. I didn't make a lot of layer 2 changes to boost my SIM income this week but will continue to find opportunity when prices of the layers have advantage to trade into SIM.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.105 liquid Hive per month and this is a nice little increase from previous week. This will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now I am 30% completed which I am really thankful.

3rd Hive Anniversary
Incidentally, today is my 3rd Hive Anniversary. It is such a great joy that through my journey in Hive, I have been exposed to multiple play2earn games and dCity is one that is really interesting and help me to understand more about trading. Many of us came in via Splinterlinds but there is an equal amount of people whom have left without exploring the blockchain. But I think how we continue on in Hive is important. I like how Hive gave me opportunity to explore new communities and new games and that is how through various interaction with fellow people in Hive, I have come into dCity. Let's continue to grow strength to strength and grow together with the game and blockchain.

Closing
3 years is a long way but I still believe both dCity and Hive Blockchain has more to grow. Also hoping that after all the node issues are settled, I will continue to work on the purchases and grow my city, then continue inching myself towards SIM Millionaire.
