dCity Progress Update #25

Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope everyone is doing alright as we've just crossed midweek. It's time again to do a progress check on my city and look at how it is changing as I start on something new in the city.

What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.

My City
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:

Compared to previous, there are new items that have come into the city. And that is the wind turbine which I contemplated previously and today I have added it to my city.

In terms of unemployment rate, everything is now perfectly balanced which is really nice. Let's continue to build the city up and gather more income.

Moving to Wind Turbine Path
Didn't I said I chose to go with the ice cream shop in the last update? But today I added a Wind Turbine to my city.

After speaking to my mentor @ryosai, I realize my thinking was a little short sighted as he shared his full philosophy and the full understanding of why I should switch over to work on Wind Turbine.

While from the surface, if we do look at the income ratio between ice cream shop versus wind turbine, wind turbine actually looks a little average for a 8:3 versus a 3:2. However there are things that I am not aware. And here it is:

Look at that amount of tax refund this card brings and to craft this, wind tubrine is actually part of the combination.

Ingredient for combination is as follows:
25x Wind Turbine
5x Power Line
1x Basic Automation
1x Energy Reload
1x Construction Site

And this whole long term combination plan is where the potential of the strategy lies and this is something that I was totally not aware when I made my earlier decision. So now I will focus on growing my wind turbine fleet and then work towards forming a wind farm that gives such a good tax refund.

So the plan now will be to continue growing the city but through the wind turbine route which is also supported by:

This card adds significant value to the wind turbines fleet and boost up their income for a much better income stream to continue building the city.

Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 223,103 SIM. Main increase came from Young Citizen sales and I did some layer 2 coin conversion to bulk up the amount of SIM that I have.

Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.

With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:

Assuming no increase in Sim Power, I will get 0.96 liquid Hive per month. The numbers continue to increase and building towards the goal I had for using the liquid Hive to fund for Hive Power Up Day as we inch towards a 1 Hive per month from just this earning. At this moment, it look a little too small and insignificant to being able to get 10 Hive per month, however as I continue to grow, one day I know I will reach there.

Really thankful for my mentor @ryosai for guiding me in the journey as I continue to grow in the game and also pointing up mistakes that I make.

There are so many different ways to grow the city, it can come from all the various stats of the city and in the latest learning from my mentor on how to build up a city by progressively gather up the parts to finally work towards a big structure that is a combination from the many component to finally give something a really nice stat line to further develop the city.
