Teaching Is My Job, Fashion Is My Passion

Currently my profession is teaching, that's, I work as a teacher in secondary school level, and on several occasions both before and after I delve into teaching, I've wondered what it'll be like to work or jump ship to other profession. During those thoughts I've explored different profession I could possibly join and how it'll feel working there. But the thing is amongst all theres one profession that just as dear to my heart as teaching and each time I go in thoughts about trying another profession, it's usually the one that comes to heart and in at ease with. I'm sure you'll be wondering what the profession could possibly be and why, well no need to wonder further, because I'd be sharing it below.

Right from when I was young, I've had love and passion for the fashion world and these has made it quite easier for me to learn different skills in related fields, just so I can be in it, and through the years till date, I've explored at least four different aspects of fashion week, ranging from tailoring, to shoemaking, hair styling and event interior and exterior decoration. Some of these took me months or years to learn, take for instance I spent over two years learning about fashion designing, despite the fact that my parents was against it, beyond all odd, I went out of my way to sponsor myself using my feeding allowance, just because of my love for it.

And if at all there is one profession I'll consider joining or doing if I were to leave my current profession in teaching, then it's going to be fashion designer, I love the ideal of creating new clothing styles and designs and fashion designer as a profession gives me an open space to not just explore new things/designs, but to also create them , while beautifying everyone that patronises me. Despite the fact that I'm currently in teaching profession, I still find one time or another to go to my sewing machine to sew some clothes for myself or assist my wife while she's working, because she's a full time fashion designer, and that's to show my love for the profession.

I understand that there are lots of lucrative and most sort after professions out there, like doctors, lawyers, engineers and the likes and to be honest I admire those guys and their massive paycheck. But then one thing I've come to learn is that, doing what you love and are passionate about usually gives one a sense of happiness and you'd hardly feel like you're exhausted, unlike when you just jump into something because It's high pay, but the job isn't something you're passionate about, and that's why I'm choosing a craft and profesion I love and remain passionate about.

So what about you? What profession would you choose to go to, if you were to leave they one you currently are?
