My Favourite Means of Transportation and the Memories It Gave Me

Transportation is an essential part of human lives that has been in existence for years. It has evolved through the years from mere movements with our legs from one locale to another, and from that we had the use of animals such as horses, donkeys and camels. After that, more evolution came in through carts, and then nowadays we've got multiple modes of transportation that have transformed transportation around the globe, making it seamless, more of which are train, land, air and water transportation and the like. Which is my favourite? Why? And what's one of the most memorable experiences using that means of transportation?

Of all the modern means of transportation, the only one I haven't had experience of is air transportation, such as a plane or chopper. But others like trains, land transportation like bikes and vehicles and water transportation like canoes have been what I've experienced. Although my first experience of train transportation and canoe transportation didn't turn out well, I remember how I was in a train coach that was filled with people, and I had no room to breathe or place my leg and be comfortable. The water transportation was even scary because the canoe was leaking throughout the journey on the river.

Talking about my favourite mode of transportation from all I've used, I'd say it's land transportation with cars. And that's because when it's a private car, it gives me enough space to relax, enjoy every moment of the journey and grasp the beauty of nature around us as we journey through towns, cities and brushes. One of my favourite experiences travelling by road in a car happened about eight years ago when I was travelling to the northeastern part of my country for the first time in respect to my participation in the one-year mandatory national service to my country.

That experience showed me a lot about different parts of my country. I get to behold different cultures and different traditions all the same in this great country of ours. Even though I used to watch on the news how people from that part of the country used to dress, talk and the like, the travel on land via the car gave me a good view of everything in detail; we also got to stop along the way to stretch our legs, explore new places and try new things, such as their food, before continuing on our journey. Although I love to travel by plane, I know this is something we can't do if we are travelling via plane.

So that's about it on my favourite means of transportation, why, and a unique experience that makes it my favourite.
