The true meaning of success

A lot of people say they are successful when they have riches, a lot of money, flashy cars, houses and all that. Some people have these, yet they are not happy so what the point of having them. Having all these is good but that not what important to me. Having money is good because it helps to take care of our needs but that's not the only way to measure success.

I saw a post few days ago on Facebook, the poster stated some millions of naira and what you'll loose when you choose a particular about of million. For instance, he wrote: you'll get 20 million naira but you'll loose your sight or you'll get 50 million but you'll become deaf and dumb and others. I just kept wondering what the point of having such an amount of money when you won't be whole to enjoy it. That kind of money is meaningless to me, money I won't be whole and hearty to enjoy us useless, I rather work honestly and become successful than have money I won't enjoy.

I believe success is when you're truly happy and have peace of mind. It's is when you wake up and fell happy with your life, it's doing something meaningful that makes you proud of yourself.

There are people who don't have much, yet they are smiling and at peace. They live happily with each other. Then there are the ones who have everything money can buy but they feel empty and sad, they act like they are happy but they are not. To me success is when you have love, peace of mind, happy family and good health.

I also believe that being kind, honest and hardworking are important parts of success. When you cheat people to get rich that's not success and at the end of the day, you'll be thinking others are also cheating you because you know you cheated people.

Every day, I try to do something good. Even if it’s just taking care of my family, writing a post or learning a new skill. I believe all these small things are steps toward success.

In my opinion, success is not about having riches and flashy cars, bags, clothes. It's about being happy, having pace of mind, having a loving and peaceful home and having good health.
